Ahahaha, I was surfing around on Amazon and then I saw that Sakurai rip off novel on Narou actually got published under Dengeki label.
On top of that, Sakurai herself is hyping for this rip off. This is too funny, I can't stop laughing. I guess Sakurai is telling us she has finally stopped trying by approving this embarrassing rip off. Last edited by shmaster; 2022-07-10 at 01:49. |

The writing style resembles her.
At various moments you can tell he used certain words just to look like Sakurai. It doesn't help that the words "喝采" and "素晴らしき哉" are among the first thing you see when beginning reading. The story is mostly about alchemists creating abominations in the dark side of London. You just need to replace alchemists with "碩学" and you can tell where the story is going. Though, no Outer Gods or WIC in this story. |

I'd not really bother that much if it's just writing style though. As long as the content isn't too alike i'm fine with it. Then again, i have yet to read it yet so i can't comment on it. Probably will wait for the LN books to judge it, the editor might help a bit with that issues

Does anyone here happen to know the canonicity of the novel's and doujins related to the Steampunk Series?
I got into the series for a while now and I've gotten a couple of books related to the series in the form of Karsheel(?) and Gahkthun's Novel Anthology, and I plan to get several more I could off of several item selling sites, if they still have any more in stock and legit, like Sona Nyl's Novel Refrain and one of those stories related to Ulthar. Was wondering if there's any kind of novels or such that is or isn't canon to the series. |

Last I recall, yeah -_-
There is one that's called "Door to the Moon World" or some such on those lines. I looked at Sakurai's Doujin Circle and I read the summary of it and got interested in maybe buying it off some site that apparently sells them? I don't know. But the setting looks interesting. I'm just rather disappointed that it's not even an actual official thing yet...as in, a released work. @shmaster: Ah cool. Thanks. Last edited by Qliphoth Bacikal; 2020-02-05 at 00:10. @Cosmic Eagle: Yeah I looked it up a couple of times, and even saw some old tweets a few years ago.
Sad to hear so many of these...projects? Not being made, let alone released. A Steampunk anime would have been something I'd go to watch instantly, almost at the same time I (slightly off-topic here) went to watch the AL anime. @shmaster: Great Old Ones? Heck yeah. Gods or the like in Divine Vessels sounds like a dope concept. The same with Karsheel's Cyber Zombie's. I looked through the whole book and, depressing setting aside, I was really hooked into the new kinds of grotesque beings in the series like the Critters. But then we only had about a few which admittedly sucks. |
