Good to see you're having fun with this. I'll stay out and just say Chika is awesome.

By the way, I just noticed this episode really tries to bring back Kanan not just from the jerk side, but to her original non-chalant character. Just think how her reaction to Dia's comment on her sexiness was literally "huh?". Imagine that same comment directed at Umi or Eri. No, better yet, Maki! You know she would throw her catchphrase by reflex! ...anyway, there's also her inhuman athletic side, which I initially thought was from her already having gone through school idol training, but even Dia and Mari are destroyed, so that's pure Kanan But the important part is that she didn't chew them out for not keeping up.

Like you said, Aqours is very soft.

Episode 9 had me at Chika > Dia > Riko >Ruby > Maru & Mari

Yoshiko moved up 4 spots because her antics this episode were quite hilarious. Maru didn't get much screentime, sadly x.x

Riko moves past Dia to take number 2 as I expected I thought she would, and no, its not because I ship Chika and Riko together! (Ok, maybe a little but it doesn't have very much influence over my lists) Dia is still a mass of hilarity and Ruby is still adorable.

I suspect it will be revealed the next episode (or whenever the issues between Chika and her are resolved). I remember novalysis explaining that Chika offered each of the girls something when she persuaded them to join Aqours. That something was tied to their weakness. You being offered nothing doesn't give her much room for having a weakness that could be made up by joining the group.
Well, that's the tragic tale of You. You can be perfect but still not get the girl.

Bah! That is not best smile, that is merely best deep breathing. And like Nork correctly pointed out, deep is not wanted here!

My girl Chika has no need of this sort of deep breathing bicycling trickery in order to achieve a good smile. She can achieve the world's best smile while simply resting or standing, like the other all-time greats Cheshire Cat and Mari's Inspiration (AKA The Joker).

Yes, I know, this girl badly needs help. Don't worry, Dr. Yuuta Togashi is a skilled practitioner at helping people like Yoshiko overcome their delusions with them still being able to lead happy lives. The only psychiatric specialist superior to him is my girl Chika, able to completely cure debilitating stage-fright in a single diving session! Is it any wonder why Riko loves her?

First of all, DIA-SAMA HAS AWOKEN AT LAST! It even gets acknowledged in-series! Seeing her being so doting on Ruby and finally show her insanely competitive self was such a treat, it reminded me why I got interested in Aqours in the first place. Everyone else was pretty damn good as well, from Yohane being her awesome self, to Mari going nuts and even full shoujo eyes at one point, it was all a barrel of laughs.

I agree with all of those.

And I think she somehow seemed cuter and younger looking in that sleeveless summer uniform. ^^

Oh, I thought it was blood coming out of Yohane's takoyaki.
