Well, Japan as usual, they just can't have people happy endings, there needs to be a bit of bittersweetness in it. But, all in all, a pretty good season (if this is the last episode). 7/10, not as good as the original show.

Haku is an idiot. Who the heck uses the most valuable relic on the planet as a shield? I suppose the same idiot that despite having a good deal of time with his allies fighting off their attackers didn't bother to prepare himself to defend either his own life or the object these guys were there to steal. Thank god it came after they re-activated the weather satellite or it would have led to untold deaths for no good reason.
I suppose it's a coin flip if this would have happened even if the master key hadn't been brought to Woshis. Someone that stupid and crazy probably would have done what he did anyways. But it didn't really help anything. And I suppose Woshis deserves some credit. Some people would have learned from their mistakes and strive to do better after making so many horrible life choices. But this guy is on another level. He decided to make even worse decisions than he did before!

Well, let's say it's a bit of an asspull to have one of those teenagers even get close to Haku, given the caliber of people who were in the room. Cheap drama for drama's sake.
So, uh, yeaaaah. Really getting into the weird territory now, with what's basically aliens and androids.

I liked the first big bad. He wanted people to live with what they could do, rather than incomprehensible miracles bestowed by some dude from a dead race. It ended in hypocrisy and was doomed from the start since they needed some kind of weather satellite anyway even if they didn't know it, but I could get behind that. (BTW, since that was the case, going back to the space age really should have been a priority.)
Woshis is just some crazy guy who wasn't hugged enough as a teenager. |

Ugh. The voice acting in this episode really felt off, as if the VA's all phoned it in.
Sadly, it's kinda predictable that Haku at the end of it all will have to be locked away, just like Hakuoro, or will burn out in some way due to his use of his mask. The Japanese like their bittersweet endings way too much.

Hum. Of course Haku went full "Kthx, bye now, gonna use my ultimate and disappear". Typical Japanese bittersweetness. However, it seems we are still getting another aftermath, maybe to fuck over Kuon as well.
