Or they can do the whole thing with first-person view, I always thought that would be a interesting way of shaking things up.

Cool thank you! ^_^
Now I have to ask though will you translating the manga from the scans or even any part of the scans at all?

I am not much into sci-fi or period drama in general but the art just blew me away . I am going to follow this show in near future simply because of it art for now .

Well that would be Yoshitoshi ABe, the best Japanese artist of all time! ^_^
Almost all of his work uses that style so I suggest you check out some of his other stuff.

I am hexed with names so didn't recall that artist . When I was replying to the thread : Arakawa Under the Bridge , I was reminded of Niea . While linking Niea I remembered who it was : )

I watched most of his animated works from Lain to NieA to Renmei to Texhnolyze . The only one I didn't watch was NHK and disliked was Renmei (not my thing) . My favorite of his work in terms of art and setting has to be Niea Under 7

I like his subconscious way of story telling. I was very moved at the end of Neia, but couldn't really put my finger on why, or how he managed to do that to me. He hits you below the rational belt.

I actually prefer Abe's take on Sci Fi than Masamune . Yeah Masamune deals mostly with C.Punk but the human angle is more profound in Abe's works . I always liked how he display sensitivity when dealing with various human emotions .

I hope we see the same for this series too : )

I just have to say brilliantly summed up , Kudos to you man . Couldn't have said it better . The first few episodes are very light hearted but slowly there are more layers to character then we first see . Also I liked the themes explored in that show and how the protagonist's is constantly developed/matures .

This is promising to be one of the best shows of 2010. The amount of creative genius that's on show here is positively breathtaking. I cannot wait to see what Ryuutaro Nakamura and Chiaki Konaka come up with, after their excellent work on Ghost Hound.

The "man" is a main protagonist, but he won't make any appearance in the series?
Basically the "man" is someone who stay behind in shade of history, but nobody knows who he is so he will never have his face shown. But because we have his character design done, we may make have him make his appearance when the series becomes an anime. Although you can say "Ain" is another protagonist, but because we won't know what she's thinking, so we decided to built up the series from the "man" viewpoint. That's my understanding.
So this "man" = "narrator"? hm, in any case really sounds like a new old thing one way or another.
