Taste men, taste, I like other more(dn, claymore, gurren). Simple as that.
To me: the music is terrorific, Suzaku is too much cliche (and wall's race..... ), the history is well done, but... at least a few of the plot lines finished? Last edited by merment; 2007-08-05 at 20:37. |

This is such a clever anime. It has everything ^^
I remember reading Clamp Newtype issue where Code Geass character sketches were also introduced. I'm not that good at japanese but I know some, and I just wondered that what will that be, Code Geass. A bit later I found out, then. I've found very much similarities between the CG characters and past CLAMP characters, it's fun 'cause it almost feels like a type of CLAMP crossover besides to Tsubasa xD |

Animation: The animation is fluent through out the whole series, very colorful despite that it can be very dark sometimes. A good mix. This is what should be expected for a 24-26 episodic series nowadays. 8/10
Music: The music can get very exciting while watching and can and in suspense and feeling of the series. But its rather 50/50 there are some great sounds but some are not rather special either. 8/10 Characters: The character designs are great if you ask me. Every character has their own personalities and goals. And some characters are very likable. 9/10 Story: The story is very unpredictable and has many twists and turns while not being to confusing which many shows tend to get which has a deep story. This is what I like in shows, to be unpredictable. 10/10 Enjoyment: I never lost interest in Code Geass and it had me in irongrips cause I was so addicted to it. I love getting addicted to series so I say the more addicting series are, the better the enjoyment! 10/10 All in all 9/10 |

Animation - 8.5/10 (It was great, had little stock footage and some amazing scenes but I can't rate it a 9 or 10 when compared to say Seirei no Moribito)
Voice Actors: 9/10 Music: 9/10 (love Hitomi) Characters: 9.5/10 Script: 9/10 Entertainment: 10/10 Overall 9/10 Goro definitely improved upon his last show in Gun X Sword and I feel the first 25 eps of Code Geass was superior to his Scyred. Now if the rumored 26-50 can keep up the quality of the show he has a title on his hands to rival his past best works of Ryvuis and Planet ES and push it to a 10/10 mark as well as being Sunrises best anime in a long time. |

I am going to assume that everyone has watched the entire series in this thread. So no spoiler tags.
I'm going to give this series a 10, but subject to change pending on how the second season develops. I have very few gripes about this series: 1) Making me wait for season 2. I am a very impatient person and waiting pisses me off. 2) The whole Mao business was basically a waste of time that accomplished little (apart from messing Shirley up and provide some character development for Lelouch and C.C., and an example of "Geass going berserk") 3) Suzaku sucks and he needs to die. What's good about the series: 1) Lelouch. Machiavelli ftw. The end justifies the means. And his tricks and strategies 2) The girls 3) Political and dramatic intrigues in the story 4) Great story development. It's one series that I can never predict what will happen. Good job with killing off Euphie. It has been a very long time since I last watched something so satisfying and kept me on my chair every week downloading the latest raw. I curse every moment that I have to wait for the next episode to air, and that includes now. |

Animation: 9.5 -- sometimes, Lelouch's left eye (w/ Geass ON) is drawn a bit awkwardly. But that's just me.
Seiyuu: 10 -- Lelouch is superb. Kallen, too. Lloyd is hilarious. So is Milly. They're all just excellent. Characters: 10 -- at least for the main characters, character development was really good. Music: 10 -- not much, but I loved it anyway. Story/Plot: 10 -- what can I say... It's well written -- understatement of the year. Overall -- I'm giving it a perfect 10. Yup, it's that good. Even more good news: things will just get better next season [or so we hope xD] |

10 out of 10. A good anime with an anti-hero. But I do say that the "purist(?)" Suzaku really gives it a yin yang atmosphere which always happens in anime shows. (Like Death Note and Gundam Seed/Destiny?) I wish Suzaku never showed up to began with and have all the Lelouch's destructive, and angst moments.
-At least Suzaku had a dark past as a 10 year old stupid brat that led the killing of his father. Still hate him currently because he is all Godly-Hax-Kira-Yamato-No-Kill-But-If-Raged. (I actually like Kira much MUCH better. He is my second.) :P |
