I was thinking while rewatching the Chunin Exam arc that it's kind of sad that Sakura and Ino are such bitter rivals now. They were such good friends with Ino doing a lot to help make Sakura the stronger girl she is now it's too bad that Sauske had to come between though. Granted, it's hardly unheard of that a boy would come between two girl friends, but given that he could really care less about either of them (at that point in the story and arguably now too romantically) it seems like such a waste of a supportive friendship.

Sure, Sakura felt overshadowed by Ino, but I always felt that was more Sakura's insecurities rather than any conscious action on Ino's part. Ino seemed to encourage Sakura to "bloom" into her own person.

Now I haven't caught up to the latest chapters of the manga yet, so not sure if their relationship has truly improved, assuming that's even been dealt with at all. But it seemed that though Ino gradually respected Sakura as not being weak anymore, it never really seemed their true friendship has returned. Course I may have just missed that.

Anyhow, just a random thought.

Kishi got a thing for rivalry, they will never be close friends again imo.

It'll be funny to see whether Sakura and Ino will fight over Naruto, now that he's one of the popular kids.

The still are close friends...i am certain of that...it's just that they are rivals and dont like to admit certain things.
(Just like most people wouldnt admit that they love their brother/sister).

It's the same thing with Sasuke....it was extremly hard for him to tell...that Naruto became his closest friend...because his heart is filled with revenge and hatred. Just like Naruto....he hated to admit it aswell that Sasuke was very important for him.

That's my opinion though...

that's pretty sad...i kinda pity the blonde kid now...he's gonna be like Jiraiya forever trying to get a chick...

i think in the long term they will become friends in the end i mean they can't be rivals forever

then again these two chicks are pretty stubborn.

Compared to the other boys...that we know...rookies + the boys of team Gai....then we can say...Naruto is populair...Sasuke was more populair and that is a fact....

Pretty much every girl said: ohh he is cute...and his whole class was crazy about him...(dunno if it is about him being the only uchiha though...or him being a genius...i doubt it's only the looks)

umm...how do we know hinata faints about him...kishi hasnt shown hinata,shino,kiba/akamaru...since the early chapters of the timeskip..pretty crap eh!..i wanted to see what hinata can do now,she must of got better since shes a chuunin now =D

Imo, Sakura's and Ino's relationship, is kinda what Naruto's and Sasuke's was before Sasuke ran away (I'm not sure how Sasuke feels about Naruto right now). They considered themselves rivals, but in reality they a think of the other as a close freind.

As soon as she saw Sai, she wanted to hit on him. She won't fight over him anymore. I don't see why she shouldn't be good friend again with Sakura. She was probably cheering her up all the time when Sasuke and Naruto were away. However, Asuma told her to not lose with Sakura anymore. Kishi rushed so much the end of the Immortals Arc that there haven't been any Ino/Sakura interaction. Granted none of them did anything, but it was probably the last spot for interaction between those 2 before a long time.

Spoiler: Sakura seems to like him more and more every day....Hinata loves him soo much that she still faints... Temari is in debt with Naruto and owes him alot... Ino has seen Naruto's skills and we can assume that she likes...skilled ninja's.. But aside from Sakura & Hinata...there arent any girls who showed real intrest in Naruto __________________
