The innocence first becomes a cube. Then turns into a dark liquid. Then drink it. Once inside it draws the user's blood to create the equipment. That never happened with Kanda as Lenalee was the one who caught Mugen in cube form with her bare hands and once she opened the palm of her hands Mugen was on liquid fork already, Kanda saw that and drank it. Coincidence just like Near saying how Allen became younger and then we remember Hevlaska called him the Destroyer of Time the first she met Allen.

Okay, so... can someone summarize it for me?
Allen is the dog and the one we know was Red and... he apparently met Cross who was going to shoot his brains out before his undead necromancy manipulator stopped him? And the living innocence basically offered up everyone at the circus to gaslight him into activating his Innocence so he can try and kill Mana, but instead basically destroyed his memories?

Yeah, this flashback was an adaptation of the first light novel but with new content. The Hidden One was attracted by Red/Allen for his Innocence and turned him into his puppet. How? We still don't know. Gotta say the scene of Allen waking up to find Mana dead might have been really sad.
Still, I'm glad Kanda said in five seconds he doesn't believe Mana is dead for real and they made a lot of progress in a single chapter after several chapters of few words.

Why Allen went back to being a kid and lost all his memories is the biggest mystery left in the series, and it feels like it was more or less lifted. Apocryphos was apparently the one responsible, most likely in an attempt to prevent Nea from coming back.

Yeah, Apo being the responsible sounds convenient but we still don't know the past "Allen". The only time we have seen images from him, he acted like an ally of Nea so Walker is having a lot of identity issues. Maybe that's the theme of the story?

The thing is that we don't know who is "Past Allen". Nea considers him an ally which sounds crazy considering he embraces the same wish as his former clan. Maybe the Past Allen is a horrible person which might give that weird nigthmare before the Alma Karma arc a bit of sense; In the nightmare Allen was yelled at by some sort of "God" about how despite his actions, he is responsible for several sins. There is a lot the strange line Nea said to Allen in the previous arc about how Allen was "a puppet that went out of control".

Finally we'll get to know about the Noah's past with Nea, Apocryphos already told us a piece tho: Joyd was so attached to Nea his next incarnation copied his face despite having his memories of Nea sealed away by Wisely.

So Apo is actually a good guy? Not only he recreated the original Allen but he also adores like he was an "angel's reincarnation"?
Still, about the theory of there being two Allens reminds me of Kamen Rider Build with Sento Kiryu's past persona.
