Kamiki is obviously using her as well. I mean she's clearly unstable, but her reasoning is different than what he gave to the girl he killed. She thinks they're stopping anyone from outshining Ai, whereas snuffing out rising stars makes him feel alive.

That said, I'm not quite sure what Nino's role in the past is supposed to be. Okay, she hated Ai, but she doesn't fit anywhere in the "death" timeline. Unless she was also doing stuff with that theatre company and introduced Ai and Hikaru, she just doesn't fit.

Feels more like maybe she connected with Hikaru after the fact (possibly just recently, since Aqua had the truth come out about Ai having kids), and in her grief/guilt about telling Ai to go to hell, she basically snapped and put Ai on such a pedestal that she's willing to kill anyone who tries to surpass her?

Kana is the one who has been coaching Ruby all this time and Ruby isn't very close to Akane.

Speaking of Akane, why the fuck is she on the family panel? It has been an error made by an assistant and it was supposed to be Ruby. Having Akane there makes no sense since now that Ruby knows Aqua is Goro, she definitely isn't shipping him with Akane anymore.

Kana's attempt to push Ruby away is coming off as so over the top and melodramatic, I sort of feel like Ruby should see through it. Though Ruby did fall for the same trick when the director did it.

My hope is that Ruby will realize Kana's intentions after she calms down, but I know that's probably too much to hope for.

I don't think there's a risk of Ruby relapsing with Aqua around. She trusts him completely now, she has no reason to hide things from him.

Gotta say, while I do like Dark Ruby, I'd prefer if she didn't so easily let go of those close to her (ie: Kana). She was so assertive and aggressive during her prior Dark Ruby phase before she broke down, and now she's just sort of... accepting losing someone she cares about. Fight for your friend, dummy!

And yeah, Ruby's definitely breaking again. Just sitting in her changing room after filming, crying to herself every day.

Oshi no Ko pretty much never used to go on break before he started that new manga. Is that manga even any good?
