Not to mention dumping her would make the principality go at the students even harder. The only reason they didn't fire all the cannons again was that she was on the ship, instead trying to close the distance to rescue her. Gelatt even points out in the LN when questioning his soldiers why they were approaching and getting in the way of them blasting them out of the sky.

The Soldiers are more loyal to Hertrude. They're blocking the canons to prevent the Noble guy from sacrificing the Princess.

Well, that was definitely a "go read the fucking source" kind of ending. I guess there's a chance of S2 but I'm not entirely optimistic. The adaptation was okay I guess though to be fair I'd call the source itself a guilty pleasure at best. I was really surprised by the overall slow pacing but it is what it is. Nowhere near enough Marie the last few episodes, though at least Luxion gets that Leon and Marie are exactly the same.

They actually fall asleep naturally in their uniform, the robot helper took care of them ( They did try to prevent Leon from entering )

The first three LN form an arc which we're now not likely to see animated unless there's plans for a movie or OVA.

Nah. Both Ange and Livia are tired from overusing their magic and fell asleep in Leon's room where the robots took them. The robots strip them of their clothes for some reason.

Well, despite the character designs being a bit over the top with the oppai and Leon being an absolute ass 50% of the time, this has to be my third favorite anime of this very full season, behind Kaguya-sama in first place and Spy X Family in second. 8,75/10, I really hope we get a second season.

Seen the chapter, Leon defeated the Black Knight, Greg challenged Leon again (his armor design is different from the manga) and was promoted again.
The animation of the anime maybe wasn't the best, but at least for me it wasn't that bad, I hope they give it a 2nd season (with more budget) later.
Question; How well did anime do in Japan?.

So it finally ended, I was surprised by how good an adaptation it was with how short on funds it seemed. I just loved to see all my favorite character brought to live in the TV, even if it wasn't on par to the manga art. I really hope this gets a second season.

Too bad that when leon was finally making progess and starting to accept livia and angelica and even let the 5 rangers to be with marie is the final chapter.

I enjoyed this I may read the novels.

It was a very fun show when it wasn't trying to do drama. I enjoyed it, but don't really care if it gets another season or not.

I'll stick with the Light Novels and fanfics. Anyway, as per usual, review on the blog and cut content below:

The enemy knight units were annoying for Leon to deal with. That's because they were well-trained enough that while they couldn't damage Leon, it took him far longer to deal with them.
The Black Knight's stats are extremely high in terms of gameplay. He's better than a maxed-out Chris in Close-Combat and maxed-out Jilk in Long-Ranged Combat. Worse, he attacked Leon with an entire squadron of black knights instead of attacking him alone.
Angie explains that the Black Knight managed to sink around a hundred airships on his own and several times more when it came to enemy armors. However, she notes that he had been deployed less frequently over the years, likely due to his advanced age.
Hertrude justifies why they won't back down fighting by the fact that the Kingdom invaded the principality twenty years ago. This is also why they hate Leon and the Kingdom, to which he points out its old history for them and has nothing to do with him. For once I actually agree with him.
In order to get the Black Knight squadron off his back, Leon cast aside his sword and gun in order to use Impact to knock one of them out. That forced some of them to go save the one plummeting to the water, after which another attacked him and had his sword broken against the armor. That's when the Black Knight stabbed him in the back.
Chris knew he was outmatched by the Black Knight, given that his own father couldn't beat him. But he also knew that if he didn't step in to stop him, he'd attack Partner and kill the passengers. So he was getting ready to throw his life away in order to buy them more time (hence his apology to Marie) after Leon seemingly got killed.
That stab into the cockpit would have killed Leon if the Black Knight had gone for his stomach. As it was, he'd only narrowly avoided having his skull pierced by twisting his head at the last second. That's because the sword is made of Adamantius, a fantasy-type metal that can cut through even their armor.
Their fight continued for a few minutes with them chipping away at each other. Leon managed to take off one of the arms and legs of his suit, but his own had gotten cut up pretty bad. That's when he used the trick with the sunlight and stabbed once more, which allowed Leon to get over to his suit with a grappling hook.
To explain the flare Gelatt used, it was a gun made from the research of the Magic Flute that had the power to call monsters to it. They would normally use it and then the flute to get them under control, but the effect was so strong that it pulled monsters from both the sky and sea. The other military officers jumped him for it because he effectively gave them all a death sentence.
The Black Knight, seeing the flare, basically told Leon to tell the Princess to use the Flute to rein them in before they all got killed. That's when Leon had Luxion kill them all to show he had some hidden tricks. He also took the man's sword because it was too dangerous for him to leave with them.
Leon was specifically after the Suspension Stones that the enemy airships used, which are pretty valuable. However, it should also be noted that he could have sold them into slavery like he did with the pirates to the guy who Jenna tried to NTR. He then decides to fix up some of the armors and airships to sell later on, with Luxion warning him about scam artists who claim to do Armor repairs.
About that scam artist thing, that's what happened to the Five Idiots. They paid a facility to reconstruct the robot from the pieces of their old armors (because they weren't allowed new ones) and it was basically a walking deathtrap.
Leon also scams his friends into making contracts with him over the extra armors and ships he didn't give over to the Kingdom, while buying their old ships (most backwater baronies only have junkers due to the costs). Because they have tech and require maintenance from Luxion, they're effectively unable to go against Leon. So he basically owns them now, which tells you the kind of person he is. Even Luxion calls him out compared to the Five having a genuine friendship.
As for Princess Hertude, she's now attending the Academy at the suggestion of the Marquess. Angie's father warned against it, but he's lost a lot of political power so they ignored him. Also, they mention the ringtailed broad didn't get executed like I hoped but instead she just lost everything and got saddled with a deplorable job. Angie wisely decided not to ask what happened to her friends that betrayed them.
As for why Angie's brother brought up Leon's single status, it was because the Redgraves want to bring Leon into their faction. Had he kept all the airships and armors, everyone would have been on edge that he'd start using them to conquer neighboring islands and territories before doing the same to the Kingdom. Several country nobles in the past had done the same thing after all. Marrying him into their faction is something they are still considering.
The Five used the money they got from the pirates and Black Knight incident, along with the group's savings that Marie needed to take care of them and pay their tuition. She basically had them do everything this volume to cover their daily expenses for the next year and they spent it all in the time she was gone. Kyle had to grab her when she nearly passed out hearing that.
After the duel, we get a glimpse at the Marquess who I mentioned earlier. He's part of a faction that was backing the Principality and is planning Leon's downfall because he has a Lost Item that powerful.
Clarice and Deidre basically half-flirt with Leon in front of his parents and Angie and Olivia. The latter two quickly stake their claim and pull Leon to the award ceremony. Several male students were knighted for what they did, but the women were given a yearly pension in addition to that. Just to remind you that life wasn't fair to men.
Greg wakes up a day after the duel and learns from the others that Marie asked about the necklace from the pirates. They also reveal that Marie has been going to the Temple lately as well often with the bracelet. That's because Marie knows what that necklace is and told the Church, who send an airship and armed knights to retrieve it.
The reason they were so eager to get it? That's because Marie has been recognized as the Saint, due to being better than everyone else at the Church at healing magic (remember, it's rare in this setting) and getting a reaction from the Staff along with the Bracelet (this is due to Marie Route spoilers).
Livia and Angie basically spend their winter break together at the latter's estate. Angie thinks to herself about Leon's prospects with women, and that she doesn't want to hand him over to Clarice and Deirdre. They also reveal you're expected to make it to the thirtieth-floor of the dungeon to be seen as an adult upon graduation.
Marie is given the necklace and it resonates, marking her as a Saint. She also recognizes that Leon is the same as her, a reincarnator using their knowledge of the previous world to get ahead. She's fine with him having Olivia so long as she gets to live the life of luxury she wants in this life. So it basically ends Volume 2 with the declaration she would be happy in this life.

Solid 7, one of the guilty pleasures of the season, but very little lingering effect.

Leon only acts like an asshole. He's the type to gloat when he's in an advantage. Barring that he's not really villainous. Luxion keeps asking Leon if he wants to destroy the Kingdom and take over as it's King. Luxion has the capability to enact that plan if Leon orders him to but Leon just rebuffs him saying it's gonna be a pain in the ass to deal with. Luxion hates these new humans and it's only thanks to Leon with his old Human DNA that he listens to him and they get to live another day.

It was ok but very much in the schlock category as far as isekai go.

I'd say a solid 7/10. It wasn't amazing, but it was still pretty good. Had some good moments and some likeable characters. The Queen was a blast and was fun whenever she showed up.

May not remember this show by the end of the year. But it isn't one of the bad ones that I ended up dropping or got overly frustrated with it. It had some flaws and there wasn't much of a budget. But it was ok.

Well it was a nice series. I wish it was 24 episodes adapting the first three volumes but maybe we'll be lucky and get another season.
The ending was fine. We got a mecha battle that put some pressure on Leon and forced him to use a trick to win instead of brute force (until he did use brute force against the horde of monsters) and while there wasn't a definitive conclusion for the romance he's no longer intentioned to push the girls away.
