Plot Summary

For those that don't know Rui Tsuchiyo (Redo of Healer) is writing this as one of his 12 novel series he released but unlike his previous work which get adapted to anime but feels like a dark outlier to his portfolio, this one's actually lighthearted.

Lighthearted? more like a proper story to me and not just simply hentai.

I've read the manga and what's translated in WN and its a good story.

loved the idea that the mc is not the most broken character. that's the hero. usually in this type of story, the mc is stronger than the hero but in here, the hero is indeed broken and you need an assassin to kill it.

I wouldn't say the summary is selling it well. He was a great assassin, died, isekai'd, and continued to be a great assassin. You could make a meme trailer using the Antman movie.

"My days of assassinating people are done! What do you want me to do?" "I want you to assassinate someone." "Makes sense."

But hey, at least he's not going to be too busy assassinating to avoid building up a harem. Also will be interesting to see what's wrong with the hero and why the goddess needs to put out a hit for him. I guess asking the hero to chill out didn't work.

I read some chapters of the manga, but I can say that it is very difficult to believe that this series and Kaifuku have the same author.

Wasn't there something with the same concept that got its anime adaption canceled since some of its content hinted at the protagonist massacring people in China?
Or is this a different Narou that just happens to be similar?
(I mean, putting aside that they are all pretty similar in the first place).

No, that's a completely different stuff.
That show got cancelled due there are hints the MC fought in WW2, and that books writer is very anti-Chinese.

While this show is just a fairly typical isekai.

hmm interesting to see, for what i read from a good otaku anime youtube channel which i like to follow the author like to make different works", he don't have a specific theme aside 'fantasy" he can go from kaifuku level of dark to let's say konosuba comedy level (he have a comedy too konosuba style)

another important note, for readers of the manga and novel the author himself already told which the anime will be "different" from novel/mange he is personally helping write the script to have some changes which accord to himself where stuffs which he did "wrong" or don't liked and "wanted to fix" then it not gonna be a faitfull adptation but a rewriting then is important to know in cases peoples start to complain about "how different it is from the source, it's really intended by the author himself to be different.

RoH is an abbreviation of Redo of Healer, which is the official English translation of Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi.

hmmm, thanks, while i did know about redo of healer i didn't know about this way to call it, anyway, for what i read this was specifically about the assassin anime, while i do know which the author is enjoying the anime and getting a lot or prises in japan twitter for it, this question don't had anything to do with kaifuku, the video was talking direct about this new one come, the only thing he talked which was from the same author but that thing about the author it was only for assassin which the author talked.

Well he is surfing on his popularity rising now after the sucess kaifuku is doing, no matter how much the "twitter mob" is complain and trying to cancel the anime it is really popular not only in japan but outside.

So the hero needs to be taken all the way out? Not completely unsurprising... as far back as the likes of Bare Knuckle/Streets of Rage and Magic Sword: Heroic Fantasy, there's always been the prospect of some hero flubbing that lesson one Mr. Parker learned to his sorrow. As for our protagonist, I couldn't help but be reminded of 47... and it will be indeed interesting to see if he's going for the Silent Assassin route (zero alerts, zero extraneous kills).
