Acchan in the flashback dream mentioned that there's an extremely difficult path in the otome game. Most of these games have this bonus path/game that can be played after you have cleared all the other paths/games. Could that be alluding to Sirius path since he seems to be a known supporting character in the game? Is he the next one to fall into Bakarina's harem? Or will he be the toughest one to crack before he ends up in the harem?

I thought she was referring to a secret route too, since Bakarina talked about having trouble with Nicol which we know is the only route she hasn't cleared and Acchan replied there's a harder one. Sirius does seem like a prime candidate, but the biggest twist would be if it was a Catarina route.

How common are yuri routes in otome games?

Sirius does seem a prime candidate so far especially since he hasn't fallen for Bakarina's charm yet and the secret character is supposed to be very difficult to romance.

I don't think they are that common, but I'm not an expert on otome games.

I know there was an ending in La Corda d'Oro where the main character (?Kahoko) could end up with one of the female students (forgot her name). Kahoko could have an ending and become "close friends" with her if you kept getting her events.

EDIT:

No wait...the main character was able to get a "friendship ending" with either Shoko (the clarinet player) or Nami (the press club member). That was it.

I've tried playing a few games that could probably be considered one, but they were too romance-y for me; Romance isn't a genre I'm good with.

Mary is definitely in the "friendship" route with Bakarina at this point.

Yesterday I seen a villainess web novel with a "friendship" route mentioned in the synopsis so those things must be at least somewhat popular out there.

I think it's rather uncommon to have a "villainess" in an otome game in the way that recent web novels have been using them. There aren't many "bad guys" getting in the way in galges either unless if it's some kind of an arranged marriage situation or something similar. I don't think either situation comes up a lot.

But otome game villainess stories can be pretty fun to read sometimes and "Otome Game no Hametsu Flag..." does not seem to be going the way villainess stories commonly go. So it's noteworthy.
