Well, it's been a LOOONNNNNNNGGGGGG while, but I'm here to give major updates to fans still following this series. Translations of this series are still happening but it's a slow process. I only hope it picks up steam again like it did in the past.

In terms of raw chapters, here are summaries of the volumes:

Terumi meets the 12th target, Mitsumiya Otome, after having sex with and somewhat curing the 11th target, Tsukiko, of her fear of men. Learning from Kaoruko that Otome is a second year middle school student who is somewhat cold to others and hates studying, it's Terumi's job to "open" up her heart to others and get her back on track. This isn't easy since Otome doesn't warm up to Terumi despite his best efforts, as well as still having trouble dealing with girls younger than he is, besides Shian. Speaking of Shian, she shows up in this arc to help Terumi bridge the gap between the two, having entered first year middle school herself.

Terumi learns from observation and hints from Shian that Otome loves cats and cute things so Terumi takes Otome to see stray cats in the neighborhood, which does the trick of getting Otome to talk to Terumi. She begins taking her studies a bit more seriously and starts to fall for Terumi when she overhears him telling her sister that he wants Otome to succeed since she's always had that potential. After a few more days of making "Minamoto-sensei" happy with her rising test scores and more talkative attitude, she takes the opportunity to give him a kiss on the cheek, which surprises but pleases Terumi.

The arc ends with Otome getting jealous of Terumi's closeness with Kaoruko but sharing with Shian her growing feelings for Terumi, which Shian admits is very "mature" of her and both promising that one day, they are going to get Terumi to fall for one of them when they grow older. Kaoruko, observing the girls friendship and resolve from afar, smiles to herself. Murakami shows up to take Terumi's teaching duties from him but Otome still thinks of Terumi when she can.

Volume 15 (has Chapters 315-337)

Kaoruko takes Terumi to a hot spring to relax as a job well done for the experiment so far. Along the way, they visit Terumi's mother's grave, with Kaoruko revealing that she's the one who inspired Terumi's mother to give Terumi his namesake. More "training" ensues with Terumi once again sucking on Kaoruko's breasts like a son would do with his mother but she stops it before it goes any further.

As Terumi "recovers" from his "training", he chances upon a priestess girl masturbating using the wooden steps of the temple. She freaks out and runs away but not before accidentally dropping some tariff cards. Terumi and Kaoruko return home with the latter mentioning that the 13th target will be starting at the university as first year student, entering together with the 10th target, Ruri, and Tsukiko's younger sister, Noriko. Meeting them at the cafeteria, the 13th target's name is revealed to be Mutsuge Akashi, an 18-year old who regularly tells fortunes using tariff cards. (This leads to a funny scene when both Terumi and Akashi realize that they met each other once before, during her masturbation).

As Noriko and Ruri leave for class, Akashi begs for Terumi to not reveal her embarrassing secret. Terumi promises but then surprises Akashi to not reveal a secret of his own. (At this time, Akashi thought that Terumi was going to blackmail her into keeping HER secret.) That secret being that Akashi not reveal Terumi's true gender to Ruri, who STILL believes that Terumi is a girl. Akashi promises but out of curiosity, she meets with Ruri and asks what Terumi is to her. Ruri happily exclaims that Terumi is her "beloved sister figure". Like her sister, Noriko's interest in the strange and unique is piqued but she keeps Terumi's gender a secret as well, which leads Akashi to smile, wondering just who Terumi is that he would inspire such behavior in her two new friends.

They later meet again, with Akashi asking Terumi for help in working in a part-time job near her home. Terumi agrees but not before running into Tsukiko again. They converse and though nothing happens again, Tsukiko is becoming more and more invested in the idea of sleeping with Terumi again, starting to fall for the guy. Terumi stays with Akashi in her home for the remainder of the summer vacation, bonding with Akashi's family, as he works at his part-time job. Later at night, Terumi notices Akashi sneaking off to meditate underneath the waterfall. Doing his best to keep his hormones in check (not easy since Akashi is extremely attractive and her wet clothes accentuate her large breasts and round butt) they both converse about that night that Akashi was masturbating. When prompted about it, Akashi reveals it's because she's interested in sex, which she thinks its weird. Terumi assures her it isn't since he's thinking about sex all the time, much to his embarassment.

As Terumi and Akashi hang out with one another around the area, Akashi starts to fall for Terumi due to his kindness and similar interests. During a firework festival, Akashi makes a request of Terumi: for the remainder of the summer vacation, could Terumi be her boyfriend and teach her about sex? Naturally, Terumi agrees. At Akashi's home, Terumi and Akashi are lying together in the futon, keeping their actions quiet from Akashi's family. As time passes, Terumi and Akashi first kiss each other lightly, then proceed to make out with one another, and then masturbate in front of each other before pleasuring the other with their hands. Soon it proceeds to Terumi taking off Akashi's clothes and sucking on her breasts while using his hand on her privates, trying to get her to climax. The volume hilariously ends with Terumi asking if she enjoyed Terumi's hand, where she reveals that while its nice, the feeling of masturbating on a hard surface like a table or wooden staircase felt "stronger", bumming Terumi out

**Throughout the volume, Rokujou is spying on Terumi and Akashi but is prevented from doing anything drastic by Kaoruko, who is keeping an eye on her and making sure the experiment is not interrupted. This Yandere does not like to quit.**

Not wanting to lose to a "table" of all things, Terumi renews his efforts on Akashi in trying to get her to climax. After a while, he ends up succeeding and even initiates intercourse with her, tongue kissing Akashi on the mouth to stifle her screams of pleasure (and to make sure they aren't caught by her sleeping family). From then point onward for the rest of the vacation, Terumi and Akashi take every opportunity to screw each other like horny monkeys. One day, as Terumi is working near the waterfall, he runs into Yuu again.

While both parties have missed each other, Yuu mentions to Terumi that the reason she broke up with Terumi is that no matter how much she loves him, Terumi is in love with Kaoruko more, which perplexes Terumi. He shares his thoughts with Akashi and ends up revealing the experiment to her, downplaying her role of course. Akashi comes to the same conclusion that Yuu does, in that Terumi is in love with his aunt, otherwise he wouldn't be going this far in the experiment unless he really loved his aunt, despite their blood relation.

With summer coming to end, Akashi thanks Terumi for indulging in her desires for sex but thinks to herself that she will never forget this summer vacation nor Terumi as long as she will live. On his way home, Terumi thinks about his feelings towards Kaoruko and tries to make sense of them. He then gets an alarmed phone call from Tsukiko, who notes that Kaoruko has been missing for a week now, with no one knowing where she is.

Concerned, Terumi starts visiting places that she may have gone, running into old targets like Aoi, Otome, Semi, and even phoning Asahi but no such luck. (Otome and Semi's reactions were pretty funny, both hiding from Terumi since both are madly in love with the guy.) Finally he goes to the 9th target, Gennai, who voices that there is something interesting she wants to show Terumi.

ALL TARGETS THAT TERUMI HAS MET THROUGHOUT THE SERIES ARE IN ONE ROOM, GATHERED TOGETHER BY GENNAI, WHO TELLS TERUMI THAT SHE CALLED ALL OF THEM.

Isn't he going to go into the room and interact with them?

Terumi's response is a silent but screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"

At this point, I think we are entering the final stage of this story. Most likely, Kaoruko is the 14th target that Terumi has to "capture the heart of". How the rest of the thirteen targets come into play, I have no idea. But it's finally coming to a head now.

I'm still hoping the bully also comes back. Terumi definitely needs to sleep with her after Kaoruko.

Story is plenty popular in Japan so I don't think its running the risk of being axed. Not sure if its a rush since despite the story having yet to confirm that Kaoruko is target 14, we have to see how the other targets will factor into this now that they are all back, how Terumi actually plans to woo Kaoruko (nearly impossible to get a read on her since her face and personality rarely changes from her stoic demeanor unless she was acting out a part) and if Terumi will finally sleep with Asahi, the first target. He obviously can't sleep with Shian or Otome; both girls are in middle school.

Also, Kaoruko may be the final target but the author has surprised us before. We all thought the bully, Tsukasa, was going to be a target when she was introduced before Kaoruko said otherwise. We all thought Tsukiko was target number 3 when really she was target number 11. Author raises expectations and then throws a curve ball at times. All to extend the story. Plus Terumi is still kind of a weakling. He's not the confident strong man that he wants to be so I think the bully will come into the story one final time so Terumi can use all his experience with the targets on her, finally getting her to submit to him and overcoming his fear of her once and for all.

Let's see how this goes.

It may be the build up. That miko (Akashi, target number 13) may not be the last, since Terumi has yet to sleep with Asahi. Hell, we don't know if he would be willing to sleep with past targets again, particularly Aoi and Hanada, since he didn't actually satisfy them to the very end due to his inexperience.

Plus other targets like Semi, Yuu, and even Tsukiko have all expressed interest in sleeping with him again due to falling for the guy. Not that Rokujou will let that happen if she can help it.

Personally, what would make this arc more interesting, besides trying to find out where Kaoruko is and dealing with ALL the targets again, is that Terumi has to not only seduce Kaoruko but "protect" her from the only antagonist this story has to offer (besides Tsukasa and the afro guy who tried to rape Ruri): Konoe, the teacher who had an affair with the bully. We all know how slimy and desperate he is to take Kaoruko for his own, despite being married and having a kid. Terumi standing up to the guy will definitely win points for readers.

There is no way, for Kaoruko not being final target. All that remains is Lady Fujitsubo. And there is nobody more fitting into that role than Kaoruko. Not mention, name pattern.

2. I have no doubt that Kaoruko is the final target, though it's kinda weird inserting herself into the experiment. Offering her body to Terumi for training is one thing, but actually encouraging the guy to try and woo her is another. If she offers "advice" during this phase, it defeats the purpose of learning how to capture a woman's heart on his own. Terumi has to grow out of depending on her all the time, despite his inner desire to be babied by her like a mother would her son.

3. No, she has no name pattern. Tsukasa is completely original to the Genji Monogatari story.

4. Can't the story be both? Revenge and moving on? At any rate, its impossible not to give her importance since she's the reason for Terumi's fear against woman in the first place. I would count Tsukasa's two friends as well but they only briefly showed up during Hanada's arc and are non-entities at this point in the story. We don't even know their names. I thought one or both of them would be future targets but no, both girls have been lost to obscurity.

There's also the fact that Tsukasa shows up time and again in the story proper, if only to antagonize Terumi and give him a hurdle to overcome. Hell, she's featured on the 13th cover because of this, and she's not even a target in the experiment! It's been shown in private, though, despite her attempts to deny it, the bully is starting to hold feelings towards her former victim.

Wonder what the 16th cover is going to look like, since Kaoruko was featured already on the very first cover? It may come full circle and just feature her again.

Let's see what happens. At the moment, I'm more interested in how Terumi is going to interact with all the targets again, with all being under one roof. Many reveals and situations can take place, like:

- Ruri will finally learn from the girls around her that Terumi is a GUY, not a girl.

- Asahi learns that Tsukiko has done the deed with Terumi. What this does to their friendship, I don't know.

- Semi is forced to talk with Terumi; she can't hide and avoid him like she does every time he comes near the store she works.

- Shian and Otome gush about Terumi and how great he is, with Otome growing jealous of the other girls knowing Terumi.

- Yuu sees that Kaoruko is not the only competition in town.

- Hanada and Hana are thrilled to see Terumi again but don't know how to make out the situation.

- Aoi and Gennai will be invested but continue to show cold indifference towards the others, unless provoked.

- Akashi will be surprised to see Terumi again and so soon after summer vacation had ended.

- And finally, there's Rokujou. Oh lord, the Yandere will be unleashed...

Bully girl is still competing with the aunt for the number one spot for me, so naturally I hope to see more of her as well.
The scene when Terumi went offensive with the kiss and surprised her is probably the best scene of the entire manga so far.
Don't think she can admit to love him yet as she doesn't as of now. The way I see it, she stored lots of respect-points for Terumi but has yet to convert them into affection points. The next scene between them will most likely be the turning point.
