So yeah, it all came down to Souma's diner experience. And what's up with his knife? I do remember Asahi wanting it and then giving up on it after taking a better look. I seriously hope they're not going to reveal he's been using a shitty knife all along and that using a high tier one will give him a massive power up.

Tsukasa has no chance of winning, but I hope he'll at least put up a decent fight. Asahi doesn't need to get hyped anymore than he already has.

Yep, I wouldn't be surprised as well if so were the case. That'd instantly make Souma become more "badass" as a chef without the need of a level-up mini-arc in-between, especially because there's no way to put a break during BLUE...I guess

actually.. I agree that diner is more tense than big classy restaurant
people could easily leave one diner because they're bored with the taste
which is why you could find a better cook in diner than in restaurant

Became worse with Tsukasa as sacrifice to hype Asahi. Takumi and Megumi are more believable and better pick than Tsukasa for sacrificial pawn.

I'd rather have Tsukasa vs. Souma instead of Souma vs. Asahi because Tsukasa lose tragically.

finally, everything is cleared up about things that soma had experienced in yukihira, it turned out to be more demanding than it look, of course, when he was at stagiare it gave him more but only little push.

sarge's loss not only woke her up to the truth about light chef, it gave her a lesson that supernatural is just a bullshit as long as you can serve a tasty food which customer want.

as for what she said about asahi's knife, oh c'mon, wasn't it jouchiro's? basically what asahi has right know is similar to rpg game when player got boss's weapon, it'll boost the stat. but from long time ago, this manga had explained that a knife is chef's soul and identity, so if what asahi using right now is not his, doesn't that mean he can't completely make a food that he can put his face on it.

he won againts soma and then tsukasa mean it's not 100% pure by his skill, but half of it with the help of jou's knife. besides, he lack something but soma has it, it's mother love.

at least, he had been inherited by jou's teaching directly , it's enough for him to beat jou for once unlike soma, and then he obtained jou's knife. it made him 100% like jouchiro in his youth prime but more into jou's ashura side than the real jou. basicaly, asahi is portraying what happend if jou took path into dark chef without even met soumom then fall in love.

so, i can say, what soma would face is asahi with jou's ashura at same time.

I am thinking that it not a real knife but a meta-knife. Most likely about how Soma limit what he can do because he just want to take over the diner. I think real character growth for Soma would be him giving up the diner of his own free will. To made his own diner or to make his own path in the world. Like his father once did. There also the thing about Soma needing a girl to cook for like his father. Erina isn't that girl because he doesn't feel any love toward her or any girl.

He doesn't feel any love for any girl, but I still think that girl will be Erina. Something will happen between them eventually. Her grandfather is shipping them too and that's why he was enrolled into Tootsuki.
