It is kinda weird that they are working on the anime after the series is already over.

I thought it had been officially announced? I'm mainly wondering about the cast and the anime chara designs. Hopefully it's not going to be a low-budget affair... I wasn't particularly interested in the manga (after Hannibal it's quite difficult to cover a similar ground ) but I guess I might watch the anime.

(But overall I'm so much more excited about Yarichin Bitch-bu... too bad that's not a TV show.)

Bitch bu is too graphic to be put on TV.
That series is pretty blatant in porn. It really has nowhete else to go.

But about Ten Count itself. Adaptation wise, the series doesn't have that much content in the first place. There isn't much area to screw up on outside the art.

Well yeah, obviously. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't allow even the title itself (basically "Manslut Club") on TV, anyway. But it's funny, so. (And the reactions would give my leathery old heart life for at least a year.)

Ten Count can get screwed up by bad or boring visuals (and bad casting - come to think of it, doesn't it already have a drama CD?) so I guess I hope they'll put some money into that.

No, I completely understand. I like Maeno, but does he need to be cast in every BL anime/drama CD.

Personally, I would have preferred a 10 Dance anime announcement as unlikely as that is.

Yes, and it doesn't help that Maeno tends to be cast in similar roles in these, which is also the kind that he doesn't do all that well. (At least I keep feeling that he lacks charm/strength of presence? that kind of thing.) I like him a lot better in comedic roles. (Like, most recently, Schubert in Classicaloid. I'm already missing that show so much...)

As for 10 Dance, I don't think an anime version is all that unlikely, considering that an TV anime adaptation of Dakaretai otoko... has just been announced. Also right now it's being serialized in YanMaga 3rd so not even its BL "past" would hinder it.

The problem applies to Tachibana as well.
The two of them has very serious same voice and same acting syndrome when it comes to BL.
Not to mention the formula they use aren't that great either.
Tachibana sound like a drama queen after a while. Maeno just feels very flat.
