I disagree. It's only the 2nd of 6 tests, so there's something to look forward to. You don't expect the subsequent ones to be of the same level/nature, do you?

Seeing that it has been ranking quite well (consistently in the top 5 for the last two months with the week before last week being #1 - last time it ranked out of top 5/10 were all the way back in early May) and selling well too, I assure you that worry is unfounded.

Check the last page. There's a shady person reporting to someone. I think we can definitely expect something more challenging for the rebels. Maybe the subsequent examiners will be the current E10 themselves? They're gonna be infinitely better than the cartoonishly villainous examiners we've had, so far, for darn sure.

Do you think Soma attended Erina's seminar or he was able to do all those things thru his own effort and experience?

I'm sure Soma wasn't exempted from Erina's lecture. Erina wouldn't allow it especially when she been determined to see him passed Central's trials.

But I agree that this arc has been boring so far.

TBH, this arc rather than bore me it make me feel forced and rush:

1 - Azami as a villain is stupid as..... i mean seriously ??? he is the director of the school and he can't think of any smarter way to control students.

2 - Erina - OK. Her backstory is fine and i like the way Souma and Erina resolve their story. But the author clearly trying to rush too much to prove Erina to be useful for the group. He could have choose to let her slowly show her usefulness instead of giving us a quick cram for the stupid test.

3 - Like many said, Azami = Terrible villain + forced test isn't going to get anywhere. I mean, giving bad ingredient is 1 things but no ingredients ??? and then we have the evil scrubs who is actually admit to it ??? i was more perplexing that no one in Souma group record it before posting on the net or to the newspaper, seriously, they can kick Azami off that seat in 1 week.

He brought up the information Erina had taught them about Sapporo's ingredients back in the first test, so I assume he was at least included in some of the seminars. I think it was him, at least.

Actually, Soma already mentioned in the previous chapter what he and the rest were going through was 100 times less harder than Erina's lectures. Even without that info, there's no way Soma or anyone from the dorm would not attend her classes.

Did this guy forget the overwhelming difference in skills between upper tier students and the rest of the fodder? During the Autumn election even people like Yoshina and Marui were scoring 80s, the scrubs were scoring 30s. In fact the whole point of the groups stages of the Autumn election was to show the hierarchy of power between students. Did Azami's lackeys just ignore all signs of the difference between talent/skill that the Autumn election pointed towards too? Or did they just not watch the Autumn election at all?

->Only passed due to Erina

Yea let's completely ignore the fact that Souma beat the shit out of Eizan and Ryou/Megumi/Ikumi beat the shit out of the "elite" 2nd years. Oh and Souma matching Kuga in the festival, or Souma/Ryou placing only behind Hayama in the Autumn election. Did these guys seriously ignore all the obvious signs or did they think all of Souma and co's accomplishments are due to Erina? Where the hell does Azami find such incompetent idiots and why the hell does he not even bother to warn them that Souma and co aren't to be underestimated.

Anyways just get Hayama out here so Hayama/Ryou/Souma can resolve their rivalry since it seems obvious what the author is going for.
