I'm honestly hoping for a quick BD release: the wait's been killer so far, and I just want to watch this movie now (Cineplex has no plans on playing it where I am so far) To the best of my recollections, the Gundam 00 movie came out a "mere" three months after the theatrical release, while The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi's home release was ten months later; the Girls und Panzer movie will probably be around six to seven months, but my fingers are crossed for a release in the three month range.

A just posted anon spoilerific review summary of the GuP movie:

Spoiler for GuP Movie review by anon:

- Overall, it is indeed excellent. More than 2 years worth of hype is fully answered and I am way more satisfied than I had ever expected. Based GuP, based Mizushima. 10/10 god bless them all.
- Tank porn, tank porn, and more tank porn.
- Damn that sound effect. Thank god I watched it at a theater.
- Alice, the new loli, is actually a university student and the the captain of the university team. Also her tank is Centurion and she is indeed good.
- The final match is the United High Schools vs. the All-Universities Team. Though I am not sure about the later's name. The match type is elimination with 30 tanks for each team.
- The opponent team is consisted of mostly Pershings, along with the captain's Centurion, a T-28 and, believe me or not, Mörser Karl. The best line-up so far.
- The MVP of the day goes to Anzio. I am not even kidding here. Anchovy, Carpaccio, and Pepperoni performed the best reconnaissance and the victory would have been impossible without their contribution. Italy should be proud.
- That new Chiha-tan team knows, just like their tame, only to BANZAI CHARGE. Later on they learned to use some tactics as well and did excellent job.
- The last showdown is between Miho (Panzer IV) and Maho (Tiger1) vs. Alice (Centurion). It is definitely on par with the final battle of the TV series.

- Maho has a Panzer II at home and, according to Miho's flashback, Maho used to take her sister out for drive with her Panzer II. The loli Maho diving Panzer II is the cutest thing of the whole movie.
- Thanks to the United High Schools Team, you can see the members of other teams dressed up in the Ooarai school uniform, though they later change to their usual ones.
- At the end I felt somewhat sad, just to think the whole Girls und Panzer anime has now come to its end. God I wish if I could go back to 2012 and watch the whole things for the first time again.
- Going to watch it again next week for sure. Watching it only once is simply unthinkable.

初回見てきたけど微妙
脚本はボロボロというかまさかの廃校掘り直し
あと戦闘シーン長すぎで途中寝そうになった
殲滅戦であれだけ尺取るなら前半のエキシビジョンは
クレジット提供と同時に終わって良かったと思うわ
直前までTVシリーズとOVA見てたから、ハードルあげ過ぎたかな、ちょっと残念
因みに場所は甲府だけど客入りは７割くらいだったかな

廃校問題についてはTVシリーズできっちり終わらせてほしかった
話を作るためにまたこれを持ち出したかという感じ
