If you were asking me about what the problem with Bakugou was it's more about I think it's more about his superiority complex as opposed to him just being a jerk. Hell I'll admit him being a jerk (as well as him failing) is hilarious, but he still nearly ruined Deku's life for a good 14 or so years and hasn't really reflected on that. But's just my spin though and if I'm being honest I kinda doubt we'll ever see him reflect on that since right now Bakugou's pride is being beaten down bit my bit and Deku himself is growing out of where he was before.
Still I want to see Bakugou put his pride on the line for something or do something that was bigger than himself. Sure maybe that won't happen given where he is now but while I don't see the kid becoming a villain I also don't really see any reason to him wanting to be a hero than to just satisfy his own ego. I do think the people saying Bakugou shouldn't be this squeaky clean hero do have a point as Bakugou's more aggressive persona is something I wouldn't take out of the manga, but I personally still have no reason to give him sympathy and if I'm being honest I don't find him as interesting as other people do.

Woo! Translated chapter's already out!
Heh, at least the content matched my above summary for the most part. Anyway, looks like this storyline is pretty much being set up to be a training arc, but it definitely has my interest. Gran Torino (the geezer hero) especially gives the impression that he's a much stricter teacher than All Might (he must be if the #1 hero himself is afraid of him! ). Deku should benefit greatly from the old teacher's guidance, hopefully. But now I'm REALLY worried about Iida. Looks like his brother's condition had a much greater impact on him than I thought. I hope that he isn't the one who'll start walking down the path to villainy..... |

Death flag? I thought he was talking about the Iida who always cares about justice and protecting the people straying from his path and becoming a villian by not becoming a hero but a vigiliante who kills villians without a proper court decision. Iida did had dead eyes there though...

Yeah, this is pretty much what I meant. Basically, Iida turning into this series' equivalent of the Punisher or something. It's interesting, though.... we had pages of people arguing about how bad-boy Bakugou seemed so fit for the villain role, but it looks like nobody considered the slightest (though admittedly less obvious) possibility of goody two-shoes Iida turning to the dark side! |

This chapter man, this fucking chapter's got me pumped. Iida going anti-hero/villain flag, Uraraka "manning" up, Deku's costume coming back and Gran-Motherfucking-Torino! Everything from his Golden Age look and name is awesome, can't wait to get to know him better.
edit; Anyone got an idea just how old is All-Might? Just from looking at him I'd say maybe late 30's early 40's?

Speaking of Iida, one of the Extra Pages from Volume 4 features an early design of him in his costume, which looks rather intimidating and different compared to the final design.
If Iida really does turn into a vigilante, I wonder if Horikoshi will use that design as his costume instead. |

Why should Iida go to villain's side? After all his brother was injured by villain. He has no reason to join their side He could possibly die in a fight with Stain though
Though I think he could possibly become some kind of anti-hero. But villain...

But yeah, the path to villainy for Iida is less obvious than for Bakugou. |

MHA is fun as usual. Not relavent to the plot really but I love how when Uraka finally makes it known that Deku wasn't actually sitting down I like how shaking effect lines were around him the very first panel he showed up in.
Like everybody else I'm really worried about Iidia, He's my favorite character so far so whatever's gonna happen I'm assuming it'll hurt like hell. Otherwise I'm looking forward to seeing how the students grow from this and to find out more about this Gran Torino fellow. Love how he's already a goof but C'mon Horikoshi the link sausage as organs gag? It would have worked better without em I also wonder if Deku's suit has any unasked modications made on it. Maybe not but when All Might brought it up the panel layout seemed to emphasize it.
