it is like when a person parents, loved one, friends, pets suddenly all died and he didnt shed a tear then people often think that his mind was broken rather than he is heartless.

I don't know if it matters, since a single kilogram of matter resulted in a 20 megaton explosion. He can certainly read the eidos of an object the mass of a person, and more. He decomposed those vehicles during the battle, after all. Anyone want to figure out how much one of those things weighs, and do the math to determine if there would have been a planet left if he'd used Material Burst instead of Mist Dispersion on one of those things?

That's what I said, didn't I? It maybe for us to be more sympathetic for him but it can actually also work the opposite way so like I said I'm not really sure what's the intent here...

I think the "intent" here is to show that Tatsuya is indeed an "irregular" beyond imagination, something that can bring either bad or good

This episode just confirmed my post on previous episode about this anime right now having zero tense moment no matter how bullshit their situation are.

Iam not going to lie, i actually feel sorry for the bad guys here, this is not a fight this is massacre, i really hope the bad guys will do something serious but no, tatsujesus just insta ress everyone no cooldown no mana problem then become terran ghost to nuke everything out, which got me thinking what will happen if this guy merge with zerg.....

I laugh waaay to hard at this scene

"Prepare for a bitter fight"
*nuke the whole ocean with everyone staring on HD monitor in an office*
"Mission accomplished"
*credits roll*
"It was such a hard fight, i hope we learn something from this for our future"

..........really? Really?!!??!? Those terrorist got vaporized, exploded from the inside, cut in half, turn into ice cube, squeezed to death, struck by lightning, hit by magic bullet, laser sniped from a flying dude, nuked out of nowhere and among other things while you have a godamn jesus on your side plus most of the shonen jump character in your arsenal......

Considering how much stronger Japan appears to be than everything in existence in Mahouka, this is actually disturbingly true.

Yeah, people are way overselling the Yokohama defense. It was relatively pure luck. They knew something was going on, but not what happened. If the 101st hadn't been in the area on the way to their testing grounds (mentioned in the episode where they appeared), the students would've gotten taken out and most of the defenses would've caved.

The /best/ outcome in that situation would be Tatsuya letting himself get captured or something and triggering a nuke /on the ship he was in/.

Not even Tatsuya could rez from getting hit with material burst, and quite frankly, if Tatsuya had all information control on him removed and was unsealed like he was here, he would probably not be able to fall against GAA, that said, since he couldn't very well fire material burst within a city, he probably wouldn't have been able to kill enough at a fast enough rate for them to fail in their goal like they did here, and more civilian/student causalities would have happened. So yes, things would not gone as well, but Tatsuya letting himself get captured in such a case would be detrimental, especially since , being both extremely dangerous, and being of no political or financial background (as much as GAA knows anyway, since he has so much information control around him), which makes him useless as a hostage.
