As a semi anime-only viewer, I thought this was an awesome episode, especially Issei vs Vali. Seeing Issei finally pummel Vali was extremely satisfying, especially Vali's shock and joy at being overpowered. Issei may not quite be at Vali's level yet, but he definitely proved that he can surpass the Dividing Dragon, and that's enough for now. Especially after having had people call him out as Ddraig's weak link all season.

While it's a shame that the fight doesn't quite live up to how its described in the novels, I at least think it was ten times better than the fight with Raiser... though I really wish they had used at least one of the openings during the fight.

Rias' jealousy toned down? I can see that. It is a little weird that Asia seemed more bothered by all the girls living in the house than Rias... especially with Akeno included

All in all DxD New has been a blast, and I'm really hoping for a third season. Hopefully a two-cour considering how many novels there are left to adapt. Taking into account how well Season One did, I think there's a good chance of it happening. And we still have OVA's to look forward to!

This season's ending didn't feel much like a season ender because it only covered up to vol 4 of the novels which is in the middle of an arc. The author stated that vol 1-2 cover the first arc and vol 3-6 cover the second arc. They should have made this season a 2-cour to begin with, covering the entire second arc in one season. If there's going to be a third season it will probably cover up to vol 6.

If there will be a fourth season it can be 2-cour. The third arc is covered in vol 7 & 9-12 (vol 8 consists of short stories that some were already covered in the first season). So if each volume is covered in 5 episodes then the fourth season can cover the entire third arc, up to vol 12. Well let's hope this happens.

Did anyone else feel like Issei and Vali's battle was a bit rushed? Perhaps because I was just expecting something grander from the novel, but in comparison, the anime's take on it just seemed to go "boom boom boom! now it's over." and that was it.

Thanks n0m@n ... and judging from this piece of information, I think that the chances of us getting the 3rd season have definitely risen, since in the novels the "Uroboros" has been introduced in the novels, after the events of volume 4.

Oppai. Oppai. Oppai. This episode was hilarious beyond words.

I like how they use oppai within the story.

The story should do more hilarious stuff like in this episode or the sexy stuff like in the swimming pool episode instead of serious episodes like in the Kiba arc.

^ The main reason this series is popular is because the author knows how to use humor, sexiness, fantastic world building and battles to press the plot along. If he turns this into a generic echi series I'm pretty sure that most of the fan base, non-jap and anyway, would be alienated and that will be the end of the series.

Another great season far better than the frist even if they did change a few things, and the Blu-ray/DVD have sold sold just as well as the frist season so I think we'll get a Season 3 for sure

Little titbit the pictures in the part of the fight where Issei goes ballistic are nude versions of some of the light novel covers.

Pretty sweet episode, all in all, and I think it was actually a fair bit more enjoyable than the Light Novel rendition, to me. At the pace they're going, they can probably stretch light novel adaptations for a few years, to give the anime time to catch up to the LNs!

Overall, liked the series (incidentally I watched season 1 first, then marathoned the LNs), liking this series, no major complaints, and Azazel was pretty boss, casually shrugging off that arm.

I liked this episode and the whole series so i was sad when it ended,
and i finished the manga 1 week before the anime...
so after rewatching the anime and all i tried the Light Novels.. i readed the episode 12 one
and it took me like..40 - 50 minutes e.e i can't read that much so i quitted..
