The ghost was a girl with no family relation who loved the main dude but died before she could confess her feelings for him. She called him "Onii-chan" because she was close to him at one point.

She's using Mitsuki as a vessel so that she can be loved by him in order to go to heaven, but Mitsuki is making her task difficult because she has no desire to get along with her brother in any shape or form.

Hence the story's plot and the hilarity that goes with it.

There is no information about Hiyori so far. Since Hiyori lost her memories, she can't tell us anything about herself (except for the fact that she loves Yuuya) and Mitsuki can't find any information about her either. o_o;;

I know that, sorry for my poor choice of wording. I meant to say that she (Hiyori) had no family ties to Yuuya and the said things in my previous comment. I read the manga raws for both vol 1 & 2 so yeah, I'm pretty much ahead of what's currently released on manga sites.

It gets better later on plus more funny, and the yuri vibes are hot as hell.

She pretty much had that look as if she say something unnatural during chapter 5. In one of the panels in that chapter when the guy was talking about the past, she was dressed as a shrine maiden...I believe, hinting that she has the power to see ghosts, spirits etc.
