As for the girl, good thing I already know who she is. Teehee.
Kirito is looking as awesome as always. The girl is pretty enough, but she can't hold a candle to Asuna.

Doesn't Asuna specialize in rapiers though?

Kirito's looking good with his new sword.

Just because it's wood doesn't mean it can't be powerful... Gae Bolg from Irish mythology was supposedly made from a branch as well right?

Well I wasn't necessarily implying that wood makes a weak weapon, but you also have to consider the standard attack types that go with different weapons.

Gae Bolg a "spear" being made from wood I could believe to be an effective weapon because spears are usually used with thrusts. A sharpened wood point can go pretty deep as far as damage goes. Most the Gae Bolg myths from what I lightly searched have its material being sea monster bones on an aside.

A wooden sword edge is usually not so effective for the slash methods of attacking though. Slashing with a wood edge is kind of unconventional. Maybe it's the common training sword made of wood that makes a wood-based sword hard to accept. Worst case, he's bashing them with crush-style damage.

I wouldn't be surprised if the branch can gain more metallic properties with Sacred Arts. They are supposed to give it to an artisan, that profession could mean many things in UW.
