Summary:

The story revolves around a group of knights in 14th century France who must transport a woman accused of witchcraft to a mountain abbey, where the monks will seek to understand and destroy her powers, believed to be the source of the Black Plague.

Plot:

Nicolas Cage stars as a 14th century Crusader who returns with his comrade (Ron Perlman) to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence.

A priest (Stephen Campbell Moore), a grieving knight (Ulrich Thomsen), an itinerant swindler (Stephen Graham) and a headstrong youth (Robert Sheehan) join a mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of the girl.

Limited pre-release screenings began December 2009.[6] The film will be released on January 7, 2011.

I can't wait to see this movie It was supposed to come out in 2010 (now), but it seams I'll have to wait until 2011 to watch it

I really really hate Nick and I tend to stay away from his movies, but these kinda stories are right up my fantasy alley, so it's kinda hard to resist. Will be checking it out, one way or another

Overall reminds me of Solomon Kane, except with Cage this time :P Maaaaybe I'll check it out, prolly gonna wait for reviews first.

Meh, I'm not convinced by this. I don't think I would watch this in the theaters, so I'd rather just download it if I wanna see it. One thing I have to ask is if this witch was really so powerful, why couldn't she just use her magic to break free of her cage? To me, it looks like this film is gonna border on the ridiculous.
