Yeah, it was a fairly vague statement. There are a lot of strong people in the guild; hell, technically speaking, she could have been referring to Makarov. Which makes the line a bit.. . silly, in retrospect.

Like I said, not his strongest chapter, but not wholly bad, either. Just a little awkward in parts.

Yeah, I hope it's Gildartz as well; their powers seem very similar. And I suspect Gildartz would curb-stomp him anyway.

Yeah, which is why I think Gild is gonna show up at the end and somehow force Hades away. At the least, he's gonna take over temporary leadership of the guild due to Makarov being out of action or dead.

But I am hoping to see Gild kick some ass. His abilities are mostly informed, even though he did fight off Natsu relatively easily.

I would love to see Gildartz vs. Hades. And yeah, he'll probably assume temporary leadership until Laxus proves himself (likely during the Raven Tail arc). And it would actually set up a pretty good sub-plot since Gildartz and Ivan are supposed to have some sort of grudge against each other.

Yeah, but I thought it would be weird to mention it because nobody else seemed to care and we're at a pretty important moment for the plot... :P

Hmmmm. As much as I love seeing Mirajane kick ass, I would have preferred to see her win.

She's one of Fairy Tail's top tier, and if she can't handle the Seven Kin one-on-one... Well, we've still got Gildartz, Erza, and probably Luxus will be making an appearance before the arc is over.

Also, I'm very, very much looking forward to seeing Zeref angry. Particularly since Ultear totally deserves it.

I would have loved seeing Mirajane go demon on him, too, and while I kinda hate the lame excuse, it does make sense (it has to take magic to maintain the form, and she had just used it quite a bit earlier). If she had full magic to draw from (and wasn't distracted), she probably could have handled him.

I don't think Laxus is gonna show up, though. I'm guessing next arc, however.

Agreed, heh. I just have a bad feeling it won't quite go like that. At the least, I hope she gets beat around for a bit before she springs whatever plot she has hatched.

Huh, interesting, didn't notice that before. Could be that Ul put it on her, and Ultear feels that Zeref (or his power) is the only thing that can remove it. Would explain why Ultear really hates her sister. The collar could enforce some sort of restriction.

Technically, before the attack all of Fairy Tail pretty much beat themselves up...
