and why doesnt gio follow kazuki? there are a couple unaswered quesions so far regarding certain dragons reacting differently, as of now Im still holding hope for an explanation in coming episodes, such things may become more important soon.

All dragons are equipped with a E.D.B.R radar that allows them to break away before they are infected. oh E.D.B.R. stands for Emo.Douch.Bag Radar

just kidding Silverwyrm pretty much had it down. Widow we nothing about but Gio we can assume Toa's energy had a hand in Gio having freewill and the resonance not taking a hold with Kazuki. I think it was like episode 3 or something when shes actualized.

Another thing that was interesting was that Widow was free to roam around the base without a master. I thought all Dragons without a master went to that graveyard. This is a huge plothole, unless they can explain.

Btw, a Kazuki and the psycho Nena Trinity from Gundam 00 makes a perfect couple if there ever was one.

Really, I said this long time ago, but thanatos is not really the bad guy, she just wanted her dragons back.

I'm somewhat with you on this. Let's just blow up the planet and get it over with. I think Sieglinde is the only one I care about surviving, just get rid of the rest of them.

Maybe Widow's berserk is working for crazy losers (Kazuki) instead of the more visible destruction like with Machina. Considering she teamed up with that guy she can't be sane.

Maybe her master is still alive, albeit in a vegetative state...we saw him got taken away, but I don't think it actually said he was dead?

She was probably being kept around for the Professor to do tests on of some sort--maybe to see why she hadn't gone berserk? But that she didn't go berserk in the first place, if he really was dead, is surprising...

Looks like most of us have the same thoughts blow up earth get rid of everyone and but keep Seiglinde alive and well she was my back up for Akira so i had to call that card in plus you got to admit shes so cute when she makes Jin her bitch he just cant say no to her even Toa doesnt have that power. Thantaos is the good guy and will free all of us from mental pain. ALL HAIL THANATOS (Note i want my own dragon)

Even if it wasn't the case, it's still wrong to kill favorite characters among watchers. Amagi got killed, who cared ? Ostrom got killed, who cared ? Kazuki might be dead, who really cared ? At the end of a series, that would be understandable, but right in the middle, it's like saying: "I don't like that character anymore, let's kill him/her/it."

I think they killed the favorite characters among watchers exactly because of that they are favorite characters among watchers I you said yourself, no one cares if they kill off a character that... erm... no one cares, so it will be more dramatic and incur more emotions, like they've been doing with... well, Roy Fokker in Macross, Asahina Hiroko in RahXephon, Akemi in Saikano, etc. But you are right that how Akira got killed off here is really cheap, a very bad script and laughable direction

well, people needs to cut some slack to Jin as they needed to cut some slack to Kazuki, Jin is not some heroic messiah figure, he always just wanted to live some peaceful life with Gio and Toa, leaving the mess for others to deal with, right from the start. So now he has the chance, it's kinda natural for him to try live in a hermit life.

And this "resonance" thing SUCKS, big time. Jin and Toa wedding when they have been together for... less than three days in their cat and mouse game? And Gio apparently still have some resonance links to Kazuki? And Garnet loving the loser ass Assim to the end? Now I won't be surprised that they blame all the emo loser bonker-ness of Kazuki on this "resonance" stuff. well we've seen how the dragons act when they lost their resonance, they go berserk (Spiritus and Machina), or acquire some strange suicidal complex (Widow), so for the human side we have Kazuki as the prime example of what can happen when one loses resonance with his/her precious dragon

Anyway Toa sucks more and more, she was a powerful Orginial and now reduced to nothing but a typical damsel-in-distress and clumsy healer type of character. Can we say COMPLETELY overshadowed by Gio in every possible aspects?

Another thing is anyone has any idea how many Originals are out there? I think the dead one in the tank is not one of the three Originals right? It's like the dead dragon in the tank arrived on Earth ealier and lay all the eggs, and then Thanatos comes and sends three Originals for the eggs? Where Toa crashed into the shuttle, and a debris from the explosion hit the Professor, while a third one passes by? So Sakaki's daughter is still quite possibly the thrid Original right?

well, those dragons failed the D-Project experiment go to the graveyard, the dragons who lost their masters go berserk and get killed. Since Widow is a special case of not (apparently) going berserk without a master, so she is kept alive to do experiments and tests on, and most likely allowed to roam the base by the Doctor and the Professor to see how she acts. And seeing how she's very familiar with the dragon graveyard, I'd not be surprised if she was locked there before, but later released back to do more experiments.

Well, currently Gio is the only driving force for me to keep watching this series. Gio simply ROCKS SOOOOOO MUCH. Gio PWNED Mars!!! Gio >>>>> ALL!!!! I mean, he looks super cool, he can fight kungfu, he can do houseworks, he can roast the Mars, and he can cook Chinese and Japanese food, he's just PERFECT

But it definitely looks grim for him that in the ED the only ones with closed eyes are Akira, Machina, and him. I'd rather see Jin and Toa die than Gio being killed off

And last thing, I somehow has the feeling that Mr. Kyrill will survive to the end and become the "heroic messiash" that receives all the praise for saving humanity when doing nothing at all.

I wouldn't complain if Akira and Machina's death were heroic, as in tossing the Type-X warhead at Thanatos while in battered shape. I mean, major characters deserve major deaths, as in memorable, while minor characters deserve minor deaths, or common and forgettable.

Since they haven't change the opening even though one full year has past in the serie now, I suppose we haven't heard the last of Akira and Machina yet. Anyone buying the theory that Gio's massive energy surge could reanimate these two if the planet blows up ? I did say "theory"; it's as farfetched as it looks.

She did get her crazyness under control, knowingly sacrificing herself for gio/jin/toa. As she fell to mars you could see she'd taken her normal form again.

Me too, especially after reading someone's idea of Akira healing slowly over time, but Kazuki's emo put the end to that. I can't blame Gio as I believe firmly that all bad things in the Dragonaut universe is emo boys fault.
