Somehow this has Netflix written all over it. Not sure about the 3DCG animation but given who is involved its a must watch.

Yoko Taro is writing and the soundtrack is done by Monaca (Nier soundtrack) so of course I'll be watching.

Jin is doing the script? Why is he getting hired for script of all people?
But I guess he need something to do while his own Kagerou Daze got trapped in a copyright dark pool and he can't work on his own franchise.

Well... the animation is... interesting. I like the ED but so far its basically "we have Platinum End/Future Diary at home". I'll stick with it for now anyway given the pedigree of those involved.

I had no idea this was going to be CGI so that was a nasty surprise. But okay, I can work with that. The garbage story, on the other hand, that's harder. I can hardly believe Yoko Taro came up with this, it was just so bad. I'll keep watching a couple more episodes because of his involvement, but if it doesn't drastically improve, I'll drop it without regret.

Yeah this honestly would have been a week one drop if Yoko Taro wasn't a part of it. Its not even good CG it looks PS3 or like early RWBY or something. We'll see I suppose.

As far as Yoko Taro goes I think coming up a setting where people have to kill each other sounds just like him.
I think people overstate how much involvement he has though, since as shown in the initial trailer he may have made the original draft but the actual scriptwriter is Jin.

Wow, this is worse than I thought.
I can stomach the bad 3D, but I can't take the color scheme and the fashion of the show.

Unpopular opinion here, but I personally find the colour scheme to be unique with an artistic touch that vibes with a twisted weirdness seemingly in line with the story. It in fact makes it a hook for me.

I'm getting used to the animation somewhat but the MC is still kind of annoying and the series just isn't very good. I might give it another week but this is a likely drop.

It was better, but not by that much. Might just stick with it because I have nothing else to watch on Wednesdays.

I thought Sawa was out of the story but the MC brought her back as she was, meaning she's still involved in the death game. That guy is pretty stupid.

Didn't get why Lall was surprised Gas Mask's body was gone when the first episode showed Sawa disappearing when she died...

They at least saw Sawa's body disintegrate.

They didn't see Gas Mask do that, so for all they know he could've survived and escaped while they were unconscious.

That's how it's going to turn out, but the logical conclusion would be that he's dead and his body disappeared while they weren't looking. Sawa disappeared instantly, he could have just disappeared after they dodged his final attack.

I'm really sort of puzzled by the powerup MC suddenly got. This is hovering around 4/10 for me right now but its making a decent hatewatch so far.

Why can't Goro just use his powers to undo Akitsu's death for a price like he did with Sawa?

Another big issue is that virtually no one in this series has been fleshed out, so I can't sympathize with any of them.

Probably the one silver lining in all of this was getting to hear MONACA's music do its job. The track that played after Goro got his powerup was great.
