For better or worse! I'm not sure I quite understand why this series keeps getting renewed when it doesn't seem hugely popular, but at least it keeps being perplexing.

I think it being on NHK, a public broadcaster, makes the decision a little easier as they care less about profit.

I do hope they give the animators more time and money for season 3 because damn the production quality was poor in season 3

I'm guessing they won't, and that's part of the reason it got another season: it doesn't cost all that much.
