Good for this show. It wasn't necessarily one of my top shows of that year, but it wasn't bad either. Should be enjoyable to watch another season of it.

Question is how much S2 can cover, given there's currently only Vols 5-8 in which to draw from (and Vol 8 only just came out recently).

Well, I guess it's to be expected they'll probably do at least 3 volumes...

Vol 1-2 contents had normal pacing but they rushed as hell Vol 3-4 contents. So 3 volumes would be enough if the pacing is fine.

Any mentions whether or not they are going to replace Sakurai? That trailer had Albert oddly silent, when I would normally expect him to say at least a one-liner at the end.

The trailer I saw had Hawke say a few lines, it's still Sakurai.

Oh that's good. I know he been rather quiet since 'the debacle' a while ago(seems like forever); thought it was a surer sign he might have been replaced.

As far as I'm aware, he's only been replaced as the Medicine Seller from Mononoke, for obvious reasons if you read the premise of the movie.

Other than that, he seems to have gotten away with everything. What he did was far worse than what Suzuki did, but since his wife isn't someone far more famous than he is, it seems to have been quickly forgotten.

Starting season 2 off with a bang as Sei, Hawke, and co. are entrenched in a miasma spot in a cave...and then a dragon comes out and they're in some serious trouble. And then we close out on Sei about to get incinerate as her life flashes before her eyes. Almost makes you forget this is mostly a cozy Isekai romance show .

But we take a step back and see back when things were going well for Sei. She's helping clear up miasma spots, her influence on the Klausner's Domain has gained her department all the herbs they could want, and she's even coming up with new cosmetics .

The Saint starts her own company! I guess it figures that other businesses would take umbrage with Johan's family having exclusive access to the Saint's products, so probably simpler to just have Sei go into business herself and have some trusted businessmen handle the nitty gritty while she makes the product. We've even got Ryota Ohsaka as Oscar !

Oscar knows what's up when he sees how Hawke jumps at the prospect of having a cafe date with Sei. Also quite bold of the knight to hold hands with her this early into the season .

What overworked office lady wouldn't recognize the smell of coffee? And now that she knows coffee can be made in this world, Sei can start brewing her own! And Hawke wants his coffee from Sei .

I'm glad Johan got introduced in coffee just in time for the paperwork to pile up .

Sei is a consummate Japanese woman, which means she can't help but want to eat rice. To the point where she's willing to go on a trip just on the prospect of finding rice .

The OP is very serene, beautiful, and simple with Sei unleashing her Saint Power and sharing a nice moment with Hawke. Considering the last OP though I wonder if they'll add more characters over time ?

I should probably watch S1 again, I was kinda lost trying to remember what happened previously. Nevertheless rice is as good a reason as any to go on a road trip.
