Cyberpunk is Real
Cyberpunk technology in anime such as Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Genocyber, and Project Arms is real, industrial robots and prosthetics were invented by an American named George Devol in 1956, while a manipulator repair mech for repairing experimental nuclear powered bombers was invented by another American named Donald F Melton in 1958. A walking truck was also invented by American Ralph Mosher in 1965, while American company called Bucyrus-Erie invented a walking dragline excavator called Big Muskie in 1969. Then American polymath Howard Hughes invented the underwater salvage and mining ship called the Glomar Explorer in 1970 which has a robotic grappling claw that retrieved a sunken Soviet missile submarine and was also used for underwater mining. Then in 1973, the microprocessor was invented by Marcian Hoff, Stanley Mazor, and Frederico Faggin which started the microelectronics revolution. The brain–computer interface, a device that allows humans to control machines directly with their minds, was invented by American Jacques Vidal in 1973. American company General Atomics also introduced the 1st drones in the form of UAVs in 1994. In 2002, US company iRobot invents robotic vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, floor mops, floor polishers, and swimming pool cleaners while Rufus Terrill invents the security drone in 2008. A walking humanoid mech was then invented by an American named Carlos Owens in 2008 while the 1st tracked fighting mech called Megabots was invented by Americans Gui Cavalcanti and Matt Oehrlein in 2014 which fought the Japanese built Suidobashi wheeled fighting mech in 2017.
