What better way to open up season 2 than with an introduction to our new Heroine, complete with a lovely set of thighs and boobs? They even threw in some tentacle rape to rip her clothes off and better display everything
 . I'm glad Tria didn't actually die. It's never a good idea to kill off a potential best girl within five seconds of her introduction  . The new Opening is pretty fun and upbeat, showing our trio with their new part and on a new adventure with the old and new characters shown off, along with Diablo possibly getting lucky (?) and the fight against the church  . I missed Shera's Shera's, Rem's cute butt, and Shera being all for sunbathing naked  . I never thought Kazuyuki Okitsu could get so effeminate, but there you go  .Move over naked apron, here comes naked cape! And Diablo wasted no time unconsciously groping Lumachina's boob at the first opportunity . When you ask for God and instead get a Demon Lord...who you then assume is God. And because you've sworn your body and soul to God as a head priest, that makes it super convenient to go for the "he saw my naked body, now I need to marry him" excuse. Of course now she has to wrangle with the pecking order of the Harem because Rem and Shera come first, even if they can't decide which one is number one  . So it's your classic "heroes vs corrupt church" story that is so common in RPG's, because Lumachina stumbled onto how corrupt the church is and now they want her dead  .Figures Klem wouldn't work well with Lumachina being a priest, so they'll have to leave her and Edelgard behind with the rest of the supporting cast while they meet new characters in this adventure. Hopefully we'll see everybody again by the end of the season  . Klem upgraded Shera's bow, so hopefully we'll see her more involved in the action this season  .

We are right back to things here! Was pretty impressed they started out with something a bit darker with Tria's near death. Honestly I figured she was dead. But I suppose when looking at the scene again it makes sense. There was a decent amount of blood, but not quite to the level of being ripped apart.
The show is doing its thing as always with mixing things together like that kind of near death experience with some up front fanservice. No holding back in just having the new girl's clothes getting ripped apart. I think it's fine here since heavy fanservice is just part of the fabric of what makes this show what it is. Right to it in that sense in establishing Shera and Rem's assets. Shera's got the bounce and Rem has her rear/tail/thigh combo going for her. No shame on either side in that respect. Lumachina is quite the individual. Not sure what to make of her since she clearly does have quite the supply of holy power...but no real means of utilizing it. Got the tools, but no clue what to do besides pray. Certainly a good thing Diablo stepped in the whole episode, but also at the end since this girl is basically useless. Edelgard could have killed her in the blink of an eye. Maybe she'll learn how to actually tap into the power she appears to have. Good that she's got strong morals, but she's a dangerous person in that she doesn't have the means to support her morals or avoid danger. My condolences to Tria regardless of her having survived the episode. Not easy to protect someone like that. Good for Shera getting a power-up in terms of weaponry. A bit surprised Rem was left as she is, but I suppose she was already a step ahead of Shera anyways so this just evens things up a bit. Although could absolutely pass a more powerful summon to her to help out a bit.

Director and animation studios are different from the first season. Series composition and character design are the same as the first season, however. Yeah, it does not flow as well right now, but it's only the first episode. I think the music is better, since the in episode music in the first season was usually horribly placed and used.

ok, start the season with something that almost turned to hentai. lol good thing Lumachina's encounter with Clem did not turn into something more violent. Klem and her maid look like people now. And Shera's bow got upgraded into something that looks rare! Well, it's not everyday that a friendly loli demon lord bless your equip. looking forward to next week!

Nice start for the series, with Diablo's dramatic entrance that turned out to be simply him falling from the sky after his spell expired. We got the usual mix of action, comedy and fanservice that works really well in my opinion.
Fun fact: Lumachina means little snail in Italian...I'll never get used to hear her name.

One thing I can honestly say about this series is that it has a lot of semi-explicit fanservice, but it really doesn't need it. The story itself is fun enough that it feels unnecessary, and sometimes out of place whenever we get one of those scenes.

I see sand-sailing doesn't agree with Rem that much
.Our heroes are barely in the city for five minutes before they stumble onto the church's corruption as Lumachina takes issue with paladins refusing to help a poor mother and her sick child to the point of assaulting them. But it did offer up a chance for Lumachina to show off how her healing isn't just for show . We also meet finally meet Horn, who seems set to be Diablo and co. new traveling companion and seem to know their way around the city. I assume they're a girl despite their rough voice and masculine pronouns, especially with that cute face and ponytail, although the show doesn't really confirm directly here. Horn is also left out of the display of the girls in their sexy lingerie at the end, unless they just didn't think we'd want to see loli like that : .So Diablo's dungeon is there! He should know how to get through all the traps, puzzles, and monsters so I wonder if they'll go through all thirteen floors while they're there ? Diablo dishes out some major magic against a sandwhale, but the final blow ends up coming from Batutta and Laminitus, who appear to be two imposing and powerful figures that Diablo will have to deal with while they vie for control of the city for their own ends  .So is their a bad guy here? Batutta's Paladins seem more like thugs than actual members of the church and they're barely taking care of the populace who need help and prayers, at least if they're not rich, but they imply it's because of a lack of manpower and resources because Laminitus doesn't believe in God over her own immense power (not to mention she's a beauty) and is taxing and limiting the church. Both seem kind of morally ambiguous at this point, so I wonder what the proper resolution will end up being  .Gotta love how carefree and affectionate Shera is, whether it be casually rubbing her boobs against Diablo in praise, just bouncing those babies so naturally, or stripping naked to give Diablo a good and thorough washing in the bath with both her hands and her boobs. I have to admit I was fooled as to whether she reached for Diablo's horns or his lower horn (if you know what I mean). Although with such a glorious body and boobs, who can fault her for showing them off ? If anyone was still skeptical of Batutta after seeing how his troops act and the shady look he kept giving Lumachina, the preview basically spoils that he's pretty corrupt himself  . The Ending is a pretty nice and fun beat with chibi versions of the cast while also showing off the ladies in some lovely and sexy lingerie .

The situation seems a bit complicated. Figures that things are a mess out where Batutta is and frankly it's debatable that he has any time to deal with the threats coming after Luma. Whether he's evil or not is something we'll have to wait and see on. He is practically running a group of bandits. But things might have spiraled out of control there. Again corruption is partly an issue here, but frankly it looks like the church there is in a bad spot regardless. If they want to stay functional after getting kicked out of their buildings they have to get money. Again it's not that simple since if the people on the top cut back on their expenses they could at least manage.
I'm still presuming that Laminitus is the antagonist of this arc. She's the one outright locking things down because she doesn't believe in God. Definitely not opening that can of worms in general though  . Seems like a pretty basic power hungry villain that only believes in her own power and wants everything and everyone under her thumb. A massive organizational power like the church would be a threat and at the very least she wants it subservient to her. At bare minimum Diablo is going to have to put her down and teach her that she isn't the top dog in this story .This is looking to be a pretty nice conflict though. Diablo's level of OP is steadily getting worn down by more powerful threats. Now you have characters that are at least at level 130. I presume Laminitus is a bit higher since Batutta can't/refuses to confront her directly. Diablo is going to have to hope that the level cap has gone up since otherwise he's going to have a hard time handling everything. Hopefully he doesn't have to fight these two at the same time.
