Underrated moment of the episode were the two sibling dragons reuniting with each other .

So not only do the Integrity Knights barely have an army to fight off the Dark Territory, but almost half of the Knights are in stasis thanks to Chudelkin/Quinella. They couldn't even get all the active ones for the proper battle. Talk about stacking the deck against them .

Even while he's mentally shutdown, Kirito's willpower and desire to protect those closest to him is razor sharp .

Alice is still trying to come to terms with herself and her feelings for Kirito, still unsure of whether she even deserves to live for being a "false" being created from the original Alice, but sure enough to lean in for what very much looked like a kiss...although meeting Ronye and Tiese seems to have re-awakened her sense of worth again and reason for being .

Ronye and Tiese! It was nice to see the girls again and to see them finally find out what happened to Kirito and Eugeo, as sad as that was. Even more sadder was seeing the two girls blame themselves for what happened. But at least Tiese got to hear Eugeo one last time after holding his sword, also hinting there might still be some of his soul left in there .

It was interesting seeing Alice in her child outfit with her adult body, although I think in real life she probably would've outgrown that dress .

I thought Fanatio looked beautiful before, but she's even prettier with makeup on. I'm glad Kirito fighting her honestly has led her to be less self-conscious about her gender in regards to being a knight .

And the moment Fanatio brings up Kirito it turns into game of one-upping between her and Alice, culminating in Bercouli taking the wisest course of action of just getting the heck out of there .

I think I saw Liena-senpai and Eugeo's mentor at the battle meeting. And it looks like there are two new Integrity Knights we haven't been introduced too .

As if her importance couldn't be stressed enough, Alice is now the linchpin of the plan to defeat the Dark Territory's army .

Y'know, I thought Eldrie was suspicious and might do something to Kirito out of jealousy over Alice's attention to him, but that was a really heartfelt talk between him and Alice at the end there. It was nice to see her wish him the opportunity to re-discover who he is and what his old life was like she did .

It's definitely serious when Bercouli is wearing his actual armor .

So, I get the plan of Ronye and Tiese taking care of Kirito...but why does that necessitate taking him to the actual battlefield? Shouldn't they be keeping him at the camp, far from all the fighting, instead of right behind the Integrity Knight forces? Are they really banking on him waking up and saving the day as their true last resort ?

Certainly seems so.

I mean, I know Bercouli talked about it, and then Alice got kind of fatalistic with her "if I die, please come in and save the day in my memory" thing, but still .

I'm kind of reaching a point where I'm just waiting on Asuna to make her appearance. I know there is a time gap here with how time flows within that setting and in the real world. So while the enemy has dived into that world it doesn't mean Asuna will show up during this battle or sooner than a few days/weeks within the setting. I just figure this is a decent time for someone to show up and provide reinforcements. Plus while the plan on some level may be hoping that Kirito pulls himself together when everyone is at risk of death...I still kind of prefer the idea that Asuna will get him back on his feet.

Back to the episode itself though . Talk about a sad kind of reunion with Eugeo. Well that's how it goes sometimes. I do think self-guilt isn't necessary. They were victimized in that situation and what was done after was out of their hands.

Let the big crazy battle begin. This situation is all kinds of bad and I can't really blame Alice for being rather fatalistic about it. Although if the enemy realizes who she is, then she'll be the last person they'd want to kill off...

I'm figuring Asuna will appear next week. The war is waging, the battle seems lost, then suddenly the enemy gets overrun. Alice thinks it's Kirito and is overjoyed, then the dust settles and it's some orange haired girl.

And then the episode ends, and the following week will flashback and show us how she got hooked up to the machine, her dive experience, her thinking about Kirito, her arrival, her attacking the enemy, and then it'll end with her turning around and looking at Alice.

So you know, the same kind of pseudo filler nonsense we've had for half this season already.

Hahaha that's EXACTLY how I was going to picture it!

I think the next episode is going to focus strictly with the battle between the Knights and the Dark Territory, maybe giving each of the Integrity Knights a cool moment during the battle, and probably have Bercouli fight Vassago.

I imagine Asuna will probably show up at the exact perfect moment to turn the tides for the heroes .

OK ep, some things felt a bit rushed but still nice. Final Eldrie & Alice scene was done very well. This concludes v15 adaptation, a little later than I expect.
