Episode 1 is out
Looks like they adapted at least 4 chapters for the first episode. Included is chapter 30, one that had Chika and her handmade toy thingy, and among others. There was a lot of scenes shown also based on the first PV. Nonetheless, I am once again very entertained. Hopefully this season's production isn't affected. Welcome back Kaguya-sama!

Neat that they kicked things off with the ending scene of the first season, although the story they kicked off with is less focused on our two romantic goofballs and on Best Girl Hayasaka .
Hayasaka in a catsuit . I love how we never find out what Kaguya's plan was for knocking Shirogane out. She just ends up with his face on her shoulder and gets stuck there in pure bliss for hours on end . They trimmed the chapter down a tad, like there was a lot more Fujiwara and Hayasaka, but it was still pretty entertaining watching Hayasaka maneuver through all these different characters to leave Kaguya and Shirogane alone. Poor Ishigami though . Kashiwagi's boyfriend has entered his popular phase now that he's got a committed girlfriend and their relationship is sailing smooth. So much so that they might have gone all the way. Not that they'll tell you or the student council that . The Happy Life Game was happy for everybody but Kaguya and Shirogane. Ishigami died but he at least got to appreciate all the game mechanics Fujiwara wasn't responsible for (and then gave her some helpful tips at the end), while Kaguya ends up rich, alone, and married to Fujiawara as an old lady while Shirogane ends up divorced and crushed under child support. Let this be a lesson kids, don't have too many babies and don't marry Fujiwara . I love how Kaguya and Shirogane are so extra in their attempts at getting close to one another that they can create such complicated misunderstandings that can somehow still make each other happy even when they're completely and utterly wrong . Props to Konomi Kohara. I never would have realized that was Fujiwara reading off the fortunes until they showed it was her . The new Opening may not be as iconic as the first, but it's definitely very much a strong successor in it's own right. Showing off the cast in some very in-character scenes, showing off the new characters, and just the kind of fun hijinks that everyone gets involved in. Overall, a good Opening, and I'm excited to see the Ending next .

Really good first ep. Glad it was not postponded.
New OP song is as good as the first one. Though, the current video is much more generic (I still hope it is not the final version).

Of course it wasn't posponed. It's sponsored by Shinomiya Group. The entire animation team was bought to Antartica and then had themselves and their complex SANK 500m below ice and ordered to keep making these so NOTHING can interrupt them

Nice to see one sequel escape the dreaded virus.
I'm surprised that they adapted so many chapters in one episode, though they did make one into a short bit. I think I like this new OP more than the previous one.

I'm glad they went back and adapted the Hayasaka chapter. She has it rough with a master like Kaguya, but she's got the skills to handle her whims.
Seiyuus are still doing a terrific job. The animation was also very lively.

Wew, Kaguya-sama makes a full-steam-ahead return with more skits than usual! However, this time both Kaguya and Shirogane are less smug and more ticking love bombs that try their darndest not to explode. (Although Kaguya already lost THE GAME with that playful trick the Kashiwagi couple did to the Student Council.)
I personally wanted the Kashiwagi couple to explode on the spot. Hecking riajuus. Also, the new OP has a different feel to it, but all we saw was the "base" animation. I wonder how it would look next episode (or when it would be ready). Would stay with the James Bond feel or no?

She is LOADED even compared to her richboy/girl fellow Shuchin goers. Of course this comes with having to put up with Kaguya's nonsense pretty much her whole life. Since she's been getting paid big money most her life for that.
