Finally got rid of the overpriced Comcast cable and switched to fiber last week. The price for my new fiber connection is actually just as cheap as Comcast lowest tier 10Mbps speed... talk about rip off.

Old Comast 150Mbps ~$80/month

New Century Link Fiber ~$40/month

The download was expected, but i didn't think the upload would actually hit 1Gbps.

Not to take anything away from FiOS, since I love(d) it too (before moving to a place without it), but its speed also depends on how many others in the area have it. If more people in your area start getting it, your speed will decrease.

Won't be as low as Comcast, though.
