heh - pretty classic approach to "solving the problem". The actual challenge was to build the best image recognition algorithm, but they saw the challenge as passing the test with the best score. This is similar to what video card and processor manufacturers have been accused of doing in the past on benchmarks.

In the grand scheme of things, though, though optimizing for the test and getting recognition for it isn't fair, it will probably help them to improve their systems eventually.
