I feel that the chances of Togane killed on that eliminator shot are close to 0.
After so many chapters building momentum more than even Kamui its very unlikely that he will be out of scene on a such anticlimatic fashion, more after the Akane grandmother still pending issue |

Well not that it matters at this point because it is still a half assed explanation that does not undo the bullshit this season has done and the killing of the continuity of last season, but pretty much the chick from the togane foundation has been responsible for sybil actions all season. Thus she will be removed from sybil and her son killed. So basically this season could have never happened we get the movie later and everything would still have paced the same. I just can’t see a hive mind super computer mixed with a bunch of super brains letting one brain handle everything even if it is a problem they created that throws away all logic of having a hive mind. Also judging a hive mind and a society are 2 different things. When you have to reach this far to explain things you screwed up.

I really liked Kamui's plan, and Akane's reaction to what happened to her grandmother. I think that Akane's overall reaction to that struck just the right balance between "impressive emotional/mental fortitude" and "normal human response" for Akane's character.
However, I largely agree with BoyTitan's criticisms. The philosophy side of things in this episode felt a bit stretched to me, and it does seem like this season may well end up being a pretty open and shut case with very marginal impact on the upcoming movie. Still, a largely entertaining episode with many good moments. Psycho-Pass Season 2 doesn't have quite the intellectual heft of Season 1, in my opinion, but it does have a good "thrill ride" aspect to it that I've come to appreciate.

I completely agree with BoyTitan as well.
When did Akane get to read the report Mika sent in? Because the knowledge of Misato Tougane wasn't for everyone to read. And if she did the same research as Mika, then why wasn't she treated like Mika and brought in? Also, where the hell did Akane come up with the conclusion of Tougane wanting to paint her black? That's not a normal phrase. One would conclude that he's trying to raise her Psycho Pass (or hue or CC... at this point I'm not even sure what's the difference between the three in this season). I'm just ready for all of this to be over. |

Not quite as horrific as the lst episode, but still pretty bad.
First of all:WTF is happening in that scene at the beginning with the robots? Nevermind that it looks ugly. Then there was also this: "When that happens a bypass route appears on the network for them to use." How do you know that? For that matter how do you even know what the sibyl system is? "If you're going to act on your own,I'll rescind your rights as an Inspector." This has to be a very transpartent lie, because if she could really do that then this entire season wouldn't be possible. The whole buisness with Akane's grandmother was also handle very poorly. Akane got over it within minutes and is seemingly not even sighly mad at the guy ,who,as far as she knows,is responsible.

I really could attempt to answer a lot of the questions that people are asking from this thread, but I'm really tired of people trashing the show and then asking questions afterwards that could be interpreted from watching the show. If I see someone really earnestly asking a question, then I might attempt to answer it. Otherwise, I'm tired of the bashing.

There we have it. Sybil earnestly wanted to stop Kamui because they're scared of him and never had any kind of master plan for him or Akane. They just wanted to get rid of both and chose the most roundabout way possible to do it. The only reason they acted so stupid all season (or rather, not acted) was because the plot required it or else the show would have been over in five episodes. Plot induced stupidity at its finest. For weeks me and others have argued against people who kept claiming Sibyl couldn't do anything because it would compromise the system, even when we provided solutions that would only barely bend the rules, and now we see them giving inspectors illegal bombs so that they can kill 500 hundreds innocent people with the justification that "they must be latent criminals by now" (in short, they have no fucking clue) which is a clear violation of everything Sibyl stands for and a clear admission the system doesn't work. I genuinely wonder what these same people think of this development. This entire episode spit in the face of all their arguments. None of them stand anymore.
That's only the tip of the iceberg, but I'm getting increasingly tired of pointing out the glaring flaws in this show's writing. They should be obvious to everybody who thinks a little. This season is a total mess and a complete insult to the first series and its fans.
