Something is ambiguous looking at this picture, I guess it's gonna be Attack on Titan with giant robots or something futuristic and intense going by the title's meaning. Will keep an eye for it nonetheless, as I actually enjoyed Ichiro Okouchi's take on Valvrave the Liberator.

If we want to be optimistic, then I can only hope for two things from this project:

a) A protagonist who isn't uninteresting and unlikable. No Shu or Haruto.

b) A story that's more self-contained rather than sprawling all over the place.

Provided they can pull those off, it might be worth checking out.

I might agree on the first question. As for the second one, given from what I looked in the picture as well the title's meaning, the director and writer's track record, I might unfortunately expect something with a linear plot rather than a episodic one.

Having a linear plot isn't much of a problem, to be fair, but I'd hope the scale is kept small rather than large and there aren't too many characters for the number of episodes available. That would avoid one of the underlying complications these people have run into before.

So, it's author of Code Geass, Guilty Crown and Valvrave...

well first was alright, not my cup of tea it was fun. Unfortunetely it went down from there. With painfull GC and incredibly boring Valvrave that didn't have even Ayase to make me finish it.

I will give a shot as I am fan of mecha genre... but my expectation is zero.

He only wrote six episodes of Guilty Crown, to be fair, so I don't blame him for the majority of that one.

There's no confirmation that this will be a mecha series though...

It could be, it could be not. I'd be more interested if this was something different.

it Okouchi, so expected a male protagonist given a supernatural power by a female/heroine, the obvious enemy isn't actually the real enemy but a shell of it. Protagonist's country is occupied or in a occupied country, he also will lead a rebellion or join a rebellion. Expect the side that the protagonist is on to betray him or the one doing it is someone higher up in the rebellion somewhere toward the end. Protagonist or one of the main character will definitely be killed in the finale with a forced happy ending despite the death of the protagonist or one of the main character.

Also one last thing, expect the main/or one of heroine to be extremely popular and is paired with the protagonist but the ship existed only to be sunk at the end.

Ok one more last thing, the protagonist is a normal/regular human but his counter-part is someone who is extraordinary whether at fighting or at using brain or both.

one more more last thing... Please expect a lot of crazy stuffs, shocking events that come without any foreshadowing and rages.

According to your comment, I'll add one more thing: the original character designer behind these series is usually a manga artist known for drawing pretty-looking cast.

I could expect something a little different from our usual Ookouchi madness, we'll see where it goes. The pic shown above made me believe it's gonna be a sci-fi horror series which is a pretty rare combination in anime by the way (Betterman and M3 -that dark metal- comes to mind).

Rather than try to criticize at length the parts where I believe you are actually wrong, since you're mixing some facts with several personal opinions, or likewise attempt to confirm those where I think you're probably right, I'll just say that I'm almost certain you didn't watch Overman King Gainer, which doesn't do most of those things. Or how about his episode of Space Dandy, for that matter?

All you're really taking into account is Code Geass and Valvrave, which despite a few similarities also have numerous differences between them (you might be considering Guilty Crown too, but that would be wrong since Hiroyuki Yoshino was the main writer, not Okouchi, so it's kind of shallow to look at the series that way).

Frankly, in the end I believe it all depends on what kind of show he is being asked and/or allowed to write. At least on a purely general level I can understand having some preconceived notions, but it's far too early to make such sweeping assumptions based on no information. The promotional video only has a rather vague image that doesn't exactly line up with any expectations at the moment. It does seem to suggest the mood and the genre might be different, like MisaoFan says, but we don't know yet.

Seriously. Yes, many writers have tropes/styles they might be fond of, but so much depends on what kind of anime the producers want to make, what kind of demographics they want to target, what kind of tone they want in the show, how much the director/other staff is involved in the writing, etc. etc. etc.

I mean, really, Kuroda Yousuke wrote Trigun, Gungrave, Gundam 00, Requiem for the Phantom, Infinite Ryvius, Honey and Clover, Oofuri, Onegai Twins, Oh My Goddess, a whole bunch of Tenchi, etc. etc....

Yes, some of these are adaptations, but if you tried to judge his style as a writer based on just two or three of the above shows...

Sure, some writers do the writer version of "LISTEN TO MY SONG!!!" anyway, but I think it's pretty early to write someone off just because he did some shows you didn't like...

Yeah, if were're basing this on what he did in Guilty Crown, Geass and Valrave, I think it's spot on

protagonist will be a normal student given special power
protagonist will join a resistance
Sooner or later a princess will end up being murdered to further the plot
protagonist will struggle with his special power. It will bring personal misery to him
protagonist will be betrayed by his own group
protagonist true soul mate will be his rival. He'll be the one that stick with the protag to the end.

There will also be a token cool girl(s) that seemingly does interesting things at the start, but ultimately, in the end, she has no true influence towards the story. Because that's how Okouchi rolls.

I just rewatched the PV over and over again and I can just hear Shiro Sagisu doing the soundtrack with his trademark chorus being plastered all over the place. If confirmed, then it would be nice to see Araki working on an anime original with him since I feel like Sawano is everywhere lately and is already in two shows directed by him.

Araki also worked on Kurozuka which is the least known of them all judging by his track record, so I was kinda reminded of that show when I looked on the visual character silhouette that gave not so human vibes about him.
