Synopsis: Murai Masahiko (16) has a fetish for the smell lingering around a scumbag in his class. One day, a beautiful girl named Mizusawa Haruka transfers into his class, but when they start dating he spills the truth: "Mizusawa Haruka died 5 years ago...." Who the hell is she!? What are her intentions!? The heart pounding suspense horror Scumbag Loser begins!
Stumbled upon this today, and didn't have high expectations considering it was from the author of Gun X Clover(not that GxC is bad, since I still read it, just not 'great'), but was interested because Cheshire cat-grins always catch my attention. Started reading and I was GREATLY entertained with the premise. There are only 4 translated chapters, but it more or less ends the first arc. The story manages to keep the suspense going throughout the first 4 chapters, with an end that was...completely from left field =03.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Satou. She was pretty adorable for the brief chapter she was introduced(chp 3), esp since she shared Masahiko's penchant for sniffing different scents. Kinda sucked that once Haruka chose her to be "next", she was pretty much done for =0(.
While all 4 translated chapters were pretty entertaining, I have to say the end of the 4th one was the pinnacle of this arc. Guess Haruka/Yamada killing Satou, coupled with how his dad was treating him, made him make up his mind what he was gonna do. I never expected Masahiko to slowly poison his dad, lie to Haruka that it was sleeping pills, so that when she 'ate'? him, she would be poisoned as well. It was an excellent plot twist, killing two birds with one stone, but unfortunately for him, it wasn't enough. I thought Haruka tricking him after that making him think he got the 1-up on her was equally sinister. Damn, that teaser at the end too; I CAN'T WAIT to see what happens next; is it a new arc with ah new char, or did Masahiko really get a new leash on life? The latter is highly unlikely, given the tone this manga has set.
For a horror series, that was surprisingly funny. I totally lost it with this image:
I assume the shading on his pants is supposed to be indicating ... something. Combined with his fantasy about the rapist, this kid is way screwed up.
Yeah, don't really know why the hell he thought of those homoerotic fantasies...and honestly, it's something I overlooked. Thanks a lot for making me aware .
