That was a pretty typical ordinary boy meets special girl premiere. Good productions values and that's about it for now. It does have potential, however.

Hmm, I swear I've seen something similar to this several years back. The heroine had blue hair. Not robots, but skateboard?
Anyways, that is what it reminded me.

It wasn't bad, but I think it was lacking. I hear these characters wowing at the robot... or music (there was music?) and talking about youth, but I couldn't feel it. Frankly, I couldn't tell if the music I was hearing was the BGM or the music the robot was playing.

Anyways, we'll see. I'm worried it will turn out like that other music anime a few seasons back. Started off okay, might be interesting... but never does turn interesting.

Eureka Seven?

Not overwhelmed by the first episode but interested enough to see how it develops over the next few episodes. Did like Mu's character though while the boy would be overexcited by an RS catalogue.

I got Eureka seven vibes from watching episode 1, interesting first episode let's see how it turns out the next episodes.

Second episode was worse than the first. It doesn't help that I hate absolutely everything about Echo. At least the story seem to be progressing faster than I expected. We already found out what the Earless are but it doesn't really help since we don't really know what Players are

Things are moving faster than I expected them to, but I still can't say anything terribly interesting has happened as of yet. Hopefully, that changes soon.

The proper Opening is definitely very artsy and frenetic. Not much in the way of Mecha action, but some definite dynamic shots .

Ah, the old "have to name your finisher" problem .

So Echo is on a quest to find Jimi Stonefree...who seems like he's connected to Mu and might be this guy who caused the catastrophe the Noise Sisters were talking about ?

The Noise Sisters...three beauties in black with some really eccentric personalities voiced by three top-tier female seiyuu. They definitely seem to know a lot more about what's going on then our protagonists d, vague and nonsensical as their dialogue can sound, and they definitely outclass Mu at her current level .

The Earless are people who failed to become Players? What does it take to become Players? What even is the benefit of being a Player if there's a potential you might turn into a monster ?

So I take it their going to change the Ending to re-use scenes from each episode? I guess that's a nifty way of saving on animation .

After the second episode I’ve still got no idea where Listeners is going or indeed how it suddenly wound up in Pripyat's deserted amusement park.

Then again I was amused by the sisterhood of Dada being named Ein, Stür, & Zende Neubauten.

When I saw Mu, she reminded of another character, but I couldn't remember who. Then I thought of Amira from Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis. Another MAPPA show, too, though a different character designer.

Ando Hiroaki has only directed one other series in his long career, Ajin. Surprising choice?
