Awesome news! Not that it’s remotely a surprise.

I was hoping we’d get a Touch reboot timed to end when the Mix anime starts, but I guess that was too much to ask.

Wow... uh... wow.

Please tell me it's the same crew who worked on Cross Game doing this. This adaptation will be airing almost 10 years to the day its predecessor aired!

Wow, sweet. This is very well received news on my side. As much as I like Adachi I've always though he works better in Anime format than in Manga. Let's see how this turns out. For the time being my expectations are... sky high probably.

Yeah, I know... But both roles are so utterly well-suited to Miyu-Miyu that it’s hard to imagine anyone else playing Touma. And, I would argue, while Adachi’s leads are facially indistinguishable, the characters themselves are actually quite different.

I don't get the sense that it is, but Cross Game ended on the same week the anime did and that wasn't officially noted until soon before it happened.

With the series starting in Spring 2019 and running three cours for example, that would give Adachi probably 15 more (monthly) chapters to work with and take the series to about 14 volumes. Seems feasible, even if it doesn't appear close to a resolution yet.

They could just make three cours with breaks in the middle... lets say spring 2019, 2020 and 2021, or even splitting in half cours to have more time

Hmm.

OLM is a bit of a surprise to me, though they did a tiny bit of Adachi way, way back in the day. I mean, one would expect Mix to get a pretty linear and low-budget adaptation anyway so maybe director and studio aren't as critical as they would be with some series, but Cross Game shows what can be done in the right hands.

HOLY MACARONI Mix is getting an adaptation? I just hope it won't be like H2 (which ended like only a third into the entire story), but more like all his other anime adaptations where they do a full run.

Sadly, from where I was in the scans, I don't see it ending anytime soon for a monthly series. I can be wrong, but man, I thought Bokuben would be my favourite of Spring 2019, but this one takes the cake.

But yeah, another shot for HanaKana (my #1 VA) to get a shot at being the heroine for Adachi (my #1 mangaka). Even Ayaneru for Otomi I'd settle for, or even Manaka Iwami. I'd say any of them can do Otomi fine, though with my luck it will be Naobu. :ducks at stuff thrown at him:
