Gurazeni TV series Anticipation

Quote:
This year's 17th issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine is announcing on Thursday that a television anime adaptation of Yūji Moritaka and Keiji Adachi's baseball manga Gurazeni has been green-lit for next year. SKY PerfecTV! will run the manga's first anime on its BS SkyPer! channel. Among other offerings, SKY PerfecTV! televises sports such as professional baseball in Japan.
Premise/Summary
Quote:
The "baseball money survival" story focuses on a baseball team that operates as a highly-stratified society, where the player's performance determines his annual salary. The story follows an eight-year relief pitcher with an odd left-handed side-arm throw as he fights to survive under the team's strict system

This really did get an anime!
I have been interested in this manga since I saw it being promoted on NHK-world show, great to see it.
Very looking forward to this, I want to see how it handles the dilemma between playing for passion and money in professional sport

Oh wow, I never expected this would get an anime. I thought sports anime were all about appealing to the fujoshi crowd. I like sports shows that deal with the professional level rather than the high school one. Really looking forward to this one.

Gurazeni. Sports series are pretty hard to get it right, there the kodomos shonen, there the melodrama or parody seinen, this one is like a hybrid of both seinen and how sports are a hard world and a player in his carrer Zenith when raise to get more money, dunno how the manga is but this would be an interesting ride, give it the chance will be a nice anime.

Well, it's different.

I'm probably more interested in this than I would be in a regular baseball themed show because it's different. I do like the idea of a relatively low-paid player approaching the end of his career and trying to provide for his future and worrying about what he's going to do once his pro career is over. Could be one to watch.

Wondering when we're going to properly meet the girl in the end credits, though.

More that the end, is his Zenith, either he improved so he would be paid more and can try compete more, or will flamed out like a lot of players, that is a pretty direct goal and make it pretty contrascting and unique and still have a very nice comedic tone, this series have a lot of potential, like Bonda career, hope it got the big pay up
