Welp, look who it is at the end. The episode highlighted the raid battle for the first half and I gotta say, this time around, they are quite ready. Very intense episode.

Knew it was going to be an awesome episode, especially since it started with Shiroe and Naotsugu equipping new armor. Its crazy how all the new "mechanics" of actually being in Elder Tales work for and against them. They skip one raid boss, but it still comes back to haunt them.
Ah, so that's the wife who domesticated Demikas. He'll never be a friend, but he is a comrade in arms by now. Pretty reliable too by the end. I like the contrast between the three of them (Shiroe, Demikas and William) as guild masters. Epic raid battle, and they're even in high spirits for most of it thanks to William's speech and Shiroe's strategy (love how everybody still calls him the villain). And now Shiroe finally gets to his true goal. Funny how a quick dash possibly could have accomplished this sooner, but then that would mean abandoning the raid and would have been disrespectful to Silver Sword, and they're all comrades by now. Shiroe bought the bank back in season 1, now he's gone straight to whatever that place is, just look at all that gold. Last edited by Random14; 2014-12-13 at 09:01. |

Boss summon are usual persistence as even if the boss doesnt follow; they're gonna follow you till the end; But as expected why the hell Shiroe is the one to figure that out that plan as its one of the basic of raid bossing?
PS:Best Guild Mas is Kanami!

For me this ep was sprinkled with surprises...not only our first glimpse of Demikas' wife, but also Shiroe being able to enter the final room without the bosses being defeated.
In general though, was nice to see everyone working together like that.... Also, we get a new Log Horizon member!

Basically it's not a game anymore. Anyone can access the goal if they can survive long enough to make it in there. Naturally someone isn't going to be able to run past all the mobs and bosses by themselves, they were already at the entrance to the final corridor when Delicious pulled his bypass maneuver. The bosses are no longer playing by the game rules, no reason to say the Adventurers have to either..... The monsters started cheating first after all.
DemiDemi's wife is quite the strong woman. Able to stare him down like that without batting an eye, she definitely wears the pants in this relationship. One more raid boss in the final room and Shiroe is all alone? Lets hope he can pass his diplomacy check this time. |

Actually, with the ep ending I found myself wondering if that guy was somehow controling all the bosses at once from a console of some sort...the tactics that were popping up somehow seem too clever.
Well, maybe not.

Manly men are abundant this episode =3
This reminds me of how I sometimes see Log Horizon as an TRPG adaptation rather than one based on a MMO setting. Especially with GMs that have, shall we say, an unique sense of humor

Nice strategy and teamwork by everyone. Demikas's wife is really something else and its pretty obvious who wears the pants in that relationship.
Thanks to that move by Demikas Shiroe has now reached the final room but he has to confront a raid boss himself. Also new member for Log Horizon.

Demidemi's wife name is revealed in the ending credits!
Upashi is her name. It means "Snow" in Ainu. Since she is a Lander in Susukino, a city in Hokkaido area, the natives names are apparently based on the Ainu people.
