Mangaka has already proven himself to not be trust worthy with how he handle his own story, since the last few arcs in Go-Toubun were horrendously written, paced and basically make having read the manga at all a waste of time, because nothing from character development to the plot gimmick ever mattered and was either dropped or retconned to hell just to spite the fanbase.

Can't exactly fault anyone for being wary about this mangakas work after that whole shitshow. So yes, be glad you did drop it.

What happens in a world where Super Sentai battles have become commonplace for 13 years and turned into a commodity, with the Dragon Keeper Rangers celebrities with images to uphold, fans to please, and evil to easily vanquish? Where does evil fit into it ?

They really drive a hard sell on joining the Keepers! Especially this Suzukiri girl and her ability to seemingly stare into your soul .

I love how frequent Sentai voice actor Yuichi Nakamura is the Red Ranger and literal former Sentai actress MAO is voicing the Pink Ranger !

That's actually a pretty cool Kaijin design! Even if the truck mode was kind of dorky and cute, but that's so Sentai. Just like the heroes getting beat up, rallying around with the crowd, and finishing it with their giant blaster weapon. But that's a deliberate .

Because it turns out the Dragon Keepers beat the Big Bads a looooong time ago and now they basically just employee to the foot soldiers left behind as slaves who have to come up with monsters week after week after week every Sunday for the Rangers to trounce. They're basically putting on a literal Sentai show and have to constantly lose in the process .

But Fighter D (voiced by Yuusuke Kobayashi) is the only Duster who still has his pride as a warrior and wants to continue their quest for world domination...even if he's nowhere near strong enough to fight the Keepers who have pushed them down for years .

Can we get more of Fighter L? I love how they have a token girl .

Some of the Dusters have already given up and left, but it seems like D has a different idea...if you can't beat 'em, join 'em .

I have a soft spot for super sentai parodies but so far it kinda feels like a The Boys spinoff (Tokusatsu edition?). Its interesting so far but I'm not really sure I'll stick with it.

I was worried it would be another anime like that couple anime or Warumono Kyuujitsu where the entire thing would be mostly daily life but with a Sentai gimmick in the background, but it looks like there is a bit more to watch? I am curious what the protagonist(?) plans to do joining the rangers

So it was an okay first episode. All up to how they follow up

Looks promising so far. It helps that Fighter D (the MC) has a lot of drive (heh) & passion in him that watching him in action is actually interesting.

Also, the footsoldiers being immortal & able to turn into anything should've been a winning key for the alien faction as they can infiltrate, spy on & destabilize countries that way. But I guess the alien faction were too stupid to put such powers to good use, typical sentai villains. I hope Fighter D can do better. He's already on the right track at least.

the last Super Sentai parody anime we got is the one with the Red Ranger falling in love with the female villain and tried to hide from the public that both of them are dating which itself is a concept found in Gekisou Sentai Carranger.

I think I once watched something similar in two Power Rangers series which was insane since in one the villain turned to be the Power Ranger's sisters which led to a big sister complex or in Time Force where the main villain gives dating advices to the boyfriend.

Kamen Rider W also had nearly love interest between Philips and a villian but it turned to be his sister if I recall. I don't know what happened to Shotaro's relationship with the pinkhaired girl from Fuuto Pi though. Was she a monster?

Making wild assumptions that current remnants of dusters are representative of their species, then using them for infiltration is probably best way give away your intent invade. They are just not that smart. Not even D imho, though he might be bit smarter than others.
