Lots of new anime characters that appeared this time.

Got to say, I wasn't impressed on how they handled the gathering. The dress of the ladies were meh. Especially Serafall's and Tsubaki's.

The story may have been too fast for comfort but as an LN reader, I don't mind it. The whole thing just breezed over even in the LN. Well, that's just for the story. The execution of some of the scenes were rushed like the Sairaorg and Zephyrdol scene.

When u consider what they had to do with vol 5 the episode actually played out cleanly with what we know. Al that aside i completely agree with your point about the gathering and the fact is the episode itself was meh at best.
The house scene was as expected (though didnt expect Rias's mom to look as good as she did) from start to finish
The training wasnt as clean as it should've been.
As i said the gathering was unimpressive.
This was very flat very tame the transistions arent clean they're just basically picking scenes that they want and doing them and thats it. If a new show that i hadnt heard of had 2 episodes like this (and last season quite a few of them did) i'd call them severe washes and drop them and put them at most as 5 and go down from there. but lets face it the next 2 episodes will be HUGE especially 4 and how they handle a certain scene in 3.

Yeah. I had the exact thoughts as you had. They didn't let a scene sink in first before transitioning to another.

That would be horrendous if this happened in the earlier parts of the whole anime.

At least they're at a point where transition speed doesn't matter that much. Although yeah if this happened in season 1, this would've been a disaster.

Well the next episode musn`t be rushed , or the entire series will fall.....

Whats happening in the next episode is pretty obvious given the point in vol 5 we're supposed to be at. The problem is HOW they handle 2 particular things in the next few.

The LN didn't have anymore of Ise's training. Only a conversation he had with Azazel in the mountains. There was no fight, it was a One-Hit KO. The Four MAous can be introduced next episode after they return to the party.

Overall it was great. I don't understand why Koneko was the only girl without a dress, but that's really whatever-ish. I need to wait the subs to make sure what they're talking about, but it seems to be fine by now.

I didn't like where the crew didn't give importance to the others appearance. Apart from Rias, the other girls look meh. They didn't even put Serafall in a dress.

actually the LN covered FAR more of issei's training. I get what you're saying but the problem is it feels like you're giving it far more credit perhaps then it deserves. Now you're entitled to your opinion but tell me why you think it deserves 10/10

Remember that they're using flashbacks a lot this season. There can be flashbacks to training during a fight, and then we can see what went down. Also since a certain fight from Volume 7 is in episode 4, they can show off stuff then.

Because it didn't cut anything important that can't be put later on. The only scenes in Ise's training they didn't put were as I said, the talk with Azazel and that Dragon Shot Ise uses that hurts Tannin's hands a bit (I forgot that one). Next episode will already show how strong Ise got, and Azazel can tell him about the Juggernaut Drive anytime, so nothing that actually matters.

I don't get why people say it's rush? Sure they cut out a few scenes, but it wasn't rushed. Just the way how the anime didn't bother to explain in detail about characters like Seekvaira, Sairaorg etc made it seemed rush/

Tannin ain't holding it back when training Issei, but does Tannin's method helped the Red Dragon Emperor on becoming stronger and tougher than before? Also, I was wondering about the item that Ravel Phenex gave to Issei during the Young Devil Gathering event?

On the other hand, gotta say that Sairaorg Bael is so freaking strong!

Tannin holded himself back. The dude is an Ultimate-Class Devil as strong as a Maou, Ise would be turned to ashes in an instant if he was serious. XD
But, yes, Ise is stronger, next episode will show it.
I have no idea what that thing Ravel gave Ise is. It wasn't in there in the LNs as far as I remember.

Oh, and I just noticed something:

Her engagement with Ise was told to her only, unlike in the LNs where Ise was there as well. I liked this change very much, since they just say it without explaining anything to Ise and the dude just stand there confusing with them talking about "thats" and "thises". At least I think it's what they are talking about. I don't know japanese

People, at least I do, didn't say the story was rushed; the execution was.

Sure that Tannin is outputting 1/1000 of his original power, but what I meant is that he's not giving Issei time to recover. Therefore, Tannin is attacking right away without any pauses nor delays.

haven't seen episode yet, but lots of people saying gathering not impressive.

What was impressive in the light novel? I always felt the gathering was super lackluster. You had some punk being stupid towards the girl, then Bael just goes and threatens him or punches him, can't remember. Then basically saying we are doing this tournamnet. Felt like the author didn't really know the importance each of those character woudl have in his story at that moment and dind't give it the impact he shoud have.
