I'm surprised that Rin wasn't jealous that Shirou showed up to Sakura's house. Isn't she supposed to go out on a date with him in the next day or two? Haha.

I liked how they arranged the scenes with Archer in the beginning, repeatedly showing him distanced from or opposing the other three protagonists, thus reinforcing how he's come to feel more like an antagonist lately. And of course his snarky quips towards Rin and Saber were amusing as always.

I wasn't too big on how they presented Kirei in episode 2, as I felt he was lacking in menace there, but thankfully that was no longer the case here, where the unsettling air about him was fully present, and his subtle manipulation of Shinji was all the more interesting for it. He's got a good sense of humor too, matching up a Master with greatest of inferiority complexes with a Servant with the greatest superiority complexes.

Some previous episodes have ended at strange points, but I loved the final scene for this one. Just Shirou, Kiritsugu, Archer, and their ideal. Perfectly drives home the focus of the show and makes one look forward to how it'll develop.

This show is a split cour so the rets of the route will continue in April.

It depends on how they are counting sometimes big episode like episode 0 and 1 count for two episodes rather than just one.

I think this was the case with Fate/Zero.

It does not depend on anything like this at all. It's been known for weeks that the first BD box consists of the episodes 00-12. Some people only read "episodes" and "12" and then assume the season ends with 12 episodes or 12 x 20 minutes long episodes. In Fate/Zero's case, it was announced beforehand that they would end it with episode 13.

I totally forgot about the Ryuudo stripping scene. That was absolutely hilarious. Especially the part where he was half naked and blushing.
