Looks like the chapter will focus on Mr Compress, who is revealed to be the descendant of the legendary thief Oji Harima, and looks like our masked thief will be instrumental in the LOV's grand escape.

Meanwhile, Endeavor loses connsciousness after his last attack on Gigantomachia, which causes Dabi to lose interest in his fight against Shoto, since he wants his father to witness the death of his "masterpiece" with his own eyes.

Well, it's certainly cool that Compress is getting some time to shine (neither he nor Spinner got power-ups in the Re-Destro arc, after all), but I'm a little confused about the reveal of his heritage. Have we heard of his grandfather in the series before? Or was this something that was established in the Illegals spinoff? Because if it's the latter, I'm afraid I'm not caught up....

Anyways, LOVED the faces Spinner made while Jeanist was constricting him, lol. And Dabi, that dick, apparently he has such a boner for Endeavor's suffering that he spared Shouto simply because Daddy Dearest passed out? PUH-LEAZE.

Oji Harima was first mentioned by Gentle during Chapter 171.

Also, a major plot point that the earlier spoilers didn't mention was that Compress compressed parts of his own body to escape from Best Jeanist's grasp before he rescued the rest of the LOV, wounding himself in the process. It appears that the thief is willing to sacrifice himself so that Shigaraki can carry on his legacy...

Funny that you mentioned Godzilla, because the first movie did have a Pro-Hero who's basically Godzilla in a hero costume...

On a more serious note, I hope that Shiggy will actually give Spinner a useful Quirk as a reward for his loyalty after this arc.

True. I don't even care about the "great escape" of Mr.Compress in this chapter. I was more invested with Endeavor state at this moment.

Seriously, the writer should just done with LoV and Shigaraki in this arc. They are like the weakest villain organization among all the evil organizations I ever read in SJ.

Shigaraki is way too human to be a villain
We need a Joker-type of villain

I don't know why are they exposing the background of each villain better than the heroes
Mangaka is trying to say something here
Heroes grew up in perfect environment while these Villain Orgs are bunch of anti-hero that fought for injustice and persecution

It doesn't help that this chapter was about Compress who up to this point hasn't really done anything. If he really does die right after getting a moment in the spotlight, then I can't really say he made much of an impact.

I had hopes for Compress since he was the most reserved League member I wanted to bring some depth to the group now that they lost most of their with Twice's death. All that's left is Spinner and he has sort of become a joke.

To this day, I still think Stain is the best written villain in the series, followed by Overhaul and, if I had to pick a third, Gentle.

Oh. I wonder if the author likes to bring in Lupin the third or even Kaitou Kid for that? TBH, I'm curious if Mr Compress can be made crossover with Aoyama Gosho.

The Reddit post from My Hero Academia chapter 294 brought up a valid point about Mr.Compress.

Someone better tell Mr compress that massacring 21 cities full of innocent people isn't something Oji Harima would be proud of.......

Mr Compress's dad: "Listen kid our great great grandfather was a legendary thief who stole from sham heroes and gave back what he stole to the streets, he was a true hero, a hero of the people,a modern day Robin Hood."

Mr Compress: "Anyway so i started blasting"

So Compress is another one of those psychos who has deluded himself into believing he's serving a righteous cause even though all he's doing is help mass murderers and terrorists.

"Our family lineage is about exposing injustice"

He says as he rides on a monster that killed thousands of innocent people. Every single villain in this manga is nothing but a hypocrite.
