I'm hoping it will be a lot more interesting than that "CGDCT in space" nonsense of a show but the trailer really looks good and I like the grittier aesthetic.
I am annoyed that this is only a 12 episode project though.

There's a scene in the trailer where she meets an old guy who I assume is the Ninja's lord or master so I assume she offers something in the West that's worth their time and he's impressed by her resolve (or something like that).

Guess I'll give this a shot come that date.
Also, am I the only one that is thinking of Xena: Warrior Princess when seeing that title? Edit: This was a quick drop. I thought this was supposed to be about pirates. All I saw that episode were clowns and comedy.

First two episodes are out I thought it visually looks great (as expected from Production I.G.) the setting is interesting (fantasy Caribbean) but the story but the characters and story aren't doing much for me. Yukimaru being a violent tsundere is difficult to like.
I'll give it a few more episode see where it goes.
