Episode 1:
This was a really adorable episode. I really like how Hakumei is protrayed so far with the character's personality. The animation style also feels very fluid and I'm impressed by how they adapted the setting so far. Not bad for the comedy too as it's not overly exaggerated but just enough for the humor. Overall, I liked this episode. It feels like the show has a good direction so far with what it has to work with.

Well that was positively charming!
I wasn't sure what to expect from this one, but it immediately conjured up a warm atmosphere and I particularly liked the second part in the shopping district - the whole hustle and bustle followed by that peaceful moment when the fishermen back from the sea go drinking and sing their songs. I like their world and look forward to seeing more of it. |

Episode 2 is out.
I love how alive this show feels with the town and characters. Everything feels so colorful and to add to the entertainment, we even got some singing this week. The research stuff also gave me an interesting insight about this show as we see a little bit of their strange technology. Konju is also cute, I want to see more of her!

Magic is a real deal in their tiny lives. Otherwise I can't explain how a lamp working on sound using stuff like that glass-blowing-thingie can even work. Or those tsugugowhatevers who turn into ghosts if loved enough and return each year to hang out at the harvest festival to listen to the songs. I expected to watch only those two in their little house in the forest but it seems they have quite the social life and that there are many other tiny people out there which have their own interesting story to contribute to the series. Which is good, it will be something new and surprising with coming episodes, just like the undead fish in this series.

I do like the way the series is building up both its world, or at least the city where people congregate and which has its own traditions, the supernatural aspect with the tsukumogami and the strange with the reanimated skeletal fish and other creatures.

Episode 3
That was a fun epsiode. Hakumei and Mikochi really have such a fun time together Hakumei's "master" is a funny character, the type that speaks his mind without wondering much and seems to have a smoking habit. It felt like a pretty simple episode even with seeing Hakumei working in her little outfit.
