Honestly, this chapter did give the Kana ship more hope and some actual fuel. Aqua went to her for advice and realized he didn't feel that way about Akane and he even revealed he preferred older women. It's Akane that I feel bad for more than anything as she's now just being used as a tool for a guy she really came to like.

I'm not liking the direction Aqua's character is taking. He is starting to act like a villain, thinking of others as tools and manipulating them.

The ironic part is that Kana is actually in a better position than Akane, since Aqua more or less stated he can only be himself around Kana. Around others, he always has his guard up, or straight up manipulates them now.

You see this is why I've never been a fan of the whole "adult in a kids body" reincarnation trope. It just creates super weird alien situations all for the sake of a conceit, and drama for the sake of drama. I find it hard to see what the point of all this is. Like what is even the message here? Reincarnating could screw up your romantic interests? Okay sure, I'll remember that the next time I reincarnate...

Too many stories that could have really great wind up kneecapping themselves hard trying to force themselves through a stupid fad. This could have been an interesting take on the trope from a meta perspective but I don't feel like the gain was worth it. Would have preferred the story more if there was no reincarnated trope and Aqua was just plain oedipal.

Still at least it's a far cry away from side tracking into a trainwreck the way Scum's Wish did.

Basically what was said above. The message is that if you become obsessed with revenge, you may become as rotten as the object of it.

Now, if you wonder what the point of Kana's character and the whole love triangle is, it's obviously because people eat that shit up.

I guess I jumped to conclusions. Aqua told the truth to Akane, obviously not all of it, but he values her talent as an actress greatly and has no interest in her as a woman. Now of course, him faking going out with her is going to cause some pointless drama with Kana.

I didn't see the end of the chapter coming. I'm glad she's going to stick around, she's a fun character.

Well, crisis averted as Aqua told Akane that he wasn't intrested in her like that. I'm guessing that Akane will still hold onto the hope that he will fall for her and this will still cause drama for Kana.

It was kinda unexpected that Memchan will join Ruby's group. People thought it would be Akane.

Why would Akane join an idol group? She is already recognized as being an incredible actress. Sure, Kana is one too, but her career was kind of in the dump.

An entertainment agency does not exclusively have to service idols.

Aqua is there technically a part of that agency as well.
