Chise and the College gang are preparing Christmas Gifts now, we check up on that Japanese Kid who got deprogrammed, and Chise goes to Joseph for advice on what to do about killing people and he congratulates her.

And then it goes on Hiatus for the upcoming "Beast Arc" which will center around a conflict between humans and non-humans as a Red Dragon appears.


That's a cliffhanger that came out of nowhere!

The manga is set to return later this month on the 21st. That should be around the end of the anime, so it'll be a clean transition.

The new chapter of the manga has come out, though its a Simupub with AI translation. It picks up after the end of the anime for those just getting into the series, so you can follow right afterward, but I would suggest reading the missing content involving Alonza since the anime skipped it with Simon's backstory.

The official Simupub AI Translation of the Chapter 97 has come out. I understand if some people don't want to read it because they have issues with AI being used (the less than legal sources basically stated it was solid enough that they stopped translating as of last chapter). So to summarize:

Stella basically uses Ashen Eye like an Invisibility Cloak to sneak out and they talk about her having no friends aside from Chise when they run into someone else with the Sight being chased by a monster. Stella wants to help and she basically exploits the pact they made because Ashen Eyes likes her because she's a spitfire, who tells her that as long as she doesn't change he'll continue to do so.

Turns out the new kid happens to have Faerie Blood due to his great-grandmother being a fae that married a human (see the fragment chapter 83.5). He mentions one of his relatives forming a pact with a human though. We then cut to Chise after what happened at the prosthetics shop, where another mage asked if Chise wanted to become their apprentice.

Ancient Magus Bride updated to Chapter 98 on Comic Growl.

We see a couple of characters from Season One, including Shannon and her husband, who take the College Kids to the Ant Hill (though Elias made them promise to not keep them for a few months) to give Chise some time alone with Elias, the Japanese kid who is with Gabriella (the vampire who lives with Simon) meets with Chise and notices her arm and eye being cursed before offering her an Exorcism, Miss Redcurrent (the Muse) also pops up too. Oh and the biggest surprise is Rian trying to kiss Torrey (wanting to be as intimate as Chise and Elias), who stops him because while he's cool with just about anything he draws the line with children.

Philomela and Rian settle their issues and Chise gets are a warning from Oberon and Titania, who freak Zoe out.

Rian being in love with his teacher had pushed the red herring of his maybe having a thing for Philomela right out of my head.

To be fair, he did state he didn't like her in that way when Isaac asked him earlier. If anything, I always thought Isaac was gunning for her given their closeness.

These kids are so precious though. Them and Stella.

Ancient Magus Bride has updated to chapter 100. It's following up on the Twins along with the Philomela and Rian, with everyone still thinking that Rian likes Philomela along with more on Tory's past. He had been kidnapped as a child once before but was saved by a Magus, hence why he loves it.
