It a good thing that they didn't rush the episode, but i still hate that they cut out Mayumi scene again.

Shizuku's been on my radar for the last few episodes (although I'm still trending Mayumi), but holy moly. That looks great. And a touch more mature than her usual appearance.

I actually thought she was entering in the 1-9 option, like on a smartphone, on the side of the gun, but I guess she's just subconsciously thinking it... (which is obviously way faster)

Basically missed Mayumi crowd ball game which Tatsuya stepped in to be her engineer, nothing major was really missed but it does cut out some of Mayumi's character building but they've already screwed that up anyway.

First half of the episode was absolutely god awful.

Tatsuya - "Hey guys, I brought these two in to examine the video to see if any Spirit Magic shenanigans was going on."
Tatsuya - "So, do you think it was possible?"
Mikihiko - "I guess, but it wouldn't be very strong."
Tatsuya - "I see... no need to view the video at all or take your glasses off or anything. Let's just call it a day here. Thanks for coming all the way over to do something that you could've done on the phone since I didn't bother to show you the video anyway."

Ugh. In brighter news, the second half of the episode was much better. But really, does anyone NOT expect the culprit to be Third High? I mean, that one guy who's basically their ace is shown in the OP as Tatsuya's rival or enemy or whatever.

Slow episode.

The explanations do illuminate what is happening, but it feels like an engineering class or something. I think most people watch anime for the action? More show, less tell?

While it is appropriate for the LN format, it doesn't really transition to the anime that well.

music choices was kind of weird this episode. Like when they explained they needed to push Miyuki in for the upper mirage bat, the bgm seems like it should be suited for something more...dramatic or tragic. When its just a simple 'yo, sub in this one, k?"

Like last episode, my main complaint with this one is the utter lack of expression.
Every line, all the character's facial expressions stay the same, and all dialogue is delivered in monotone, no matter the situation.

Like the Mayumi x Mari scene in the hospital, or Tatsuya and Co. talking about sabotage, and asking Miki the possibility of Spirit Magic at work, everyone just acts like nothing out of the ordinary is happening.
