Synopsis

I think the MC forgot that Buddhist priests (esp. in Jodo Shinshu) can marry. That said, it depends on what kind of Buddhism is involved. Some do practice celibacy in priests.

That aside, the premise reminds me all too much of Love Hina.

Skimmed through it some years ago. Didn't really grab my attention. Just fanservice hijinks and the usual. Had a small Amagami-san crossover as well if I'm not mistaken.

I definitely couldn't recognize Aimin's voice from Yuzuki's voice alone.

Somewhat off topic, but after seeing the cast credits, I will give a lot to know what kind of conversations Serizawa Yuu and Aimi have on the set, given they are both big fans of Heaven Burns Red, in which they are both casted as well. They will also be on the same set in "I'm in Love with the Villianess" airing this fall.

Show is entertaining enough for me to continue watching. Could also be because it's not another mind-numbing isekai.

Hmm might pass on this one.

It's nothing awful, but just a bit below the level of generic harem that I can get into. The most noteworthy thing was the MC's voice which I thought really didn't fit. Agree that he sounds like he's in his mid 30s. Which is fair since that's how old the voice actor is. But while that worked for some of his previous roles...it just feels off here. The MC was certainly ridiculous enough and put enough effort into the comedy. Just no one really in that mix grabbed my attention all that much.

The only other thing that stuck was the awkward way of keeping him around. Isn't his Uncle in charge of this place? Why are they expecting the son to pay them back for the stolen funds instead of the brother of the man that did it? Yeah, yeah sins of the father and all that. Still feels awkward.

Credit to the father for being professional scum. Takes a lot of effort to be that utterly worthless that you are stealing from temples so you can go and have more flings.

Some decent stuff there, just nothing that feels super great.

I actually thought the voice fit because his character feels like an old soul in terms of sensibilities and temperament

Seems like the uncle ceded all the rights to the nunnery and washed his hands of it. Or maybe he felt he was sacrificing Akemitsu to the ladies who were more than happy to force him into work because of the ruckus he caused

Well, at least this changes the typical story up on one front. Instead of him being chased out only to reveal that he's the manager or heir and has the highest rights to the place, he's instead revealed to be the son of a deadbeat who owes them a small fortune. Not a big change and still has the same standard content, but at least that's different. And it could be said to be a bit better this way, since now the girls have more say in his continued presence rather than just being forced to accept new management or leave.

Frontier Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013	Spoiler: I guess for a kid your dad proudly declaring he's off to go fool around with as many women as possible sounds pretty cool...until you end up the object of ridicule and ire for his philandering ways and dedicate yourself to a life without relationships and romance, as Akagami Akemitsu dues . You know this is the OP to a Harem ecchi romcom because we've got girls, bras, panties, butts in panties, and the promise of plenty of fanservice and romcom hijinks . Is that Katsuyuki Konishi and Hiroki Yasumoto as Akemitsu's perverted college buddies ? Akemitsu is a very dedicated guy...until he finally falls for a cute girl after she checks on him after getting run over by some grain, but then the floodgates open and he embraces a life of debauchery at the expense of his school and work life. Now an ordinary person might cut back, but Akemitsu knows the only way to stop himself...is to become a monk . And as luck would have it the temple he goes to live a life of no sin or degeneracy just so happens to have his crush shows up barely dressed in her robes and flaunting her boobs. No wonder he confesses and proposes marriage right then and there . Of course then Yuzuki, our polite, kind, and surprisingly powerful main girl, thinks he's just the guy she's having an arranged marriage meeting with...but then the truth comes out and he's haunting all the girls after suffering a fatal crash in a well while trying to save a cat. Guy can't catch a break, other than copping a feel when he lands on girls like Tsukuyo . Even while barely holding it together, Akemitsu takes care to make sure the younger girl is okay! Though now they think he's just after big boobs . I don't think Masako Nozawa ever got headbutted in the gut or had her racy underwear exposed, so Mia is unique in that sense . So Kiki is the type to flash her boobs with very little provocation? Nice . What are the chances the temple life Akemitsu sought would instead end up being a nunnery with a bunch of cute and attractive young women? And in fact it's also a nunnery that his father basically stole money from and placing Akemitsu in the role of serving the girls and the nunnery's every need with his body. Kind of ruined the good vibes going between him him and Yuzuki . What Harem romcom would be complete without the cute ED sung by the girls as we see life in the nunnery between them and Akemitsu ? __________________
